Tarutaru Rice  

The problem is SE keeps making resouces monopolizable and subject to inflation. The supply of Rice is artificially low, and should be increased. What they really need is a Regional Vendor who sells Rice. But SE seems to like Gil Sellers and Inflationists, based upon how poorly their Economy is designed and the ability of people to monopolize resources. It makes FFXI only a good game, when it could be a great game. It also forces SE to write a lot of rules about how players should behave. And it opens the door to legal actions/request that SE must feel because players can be prosecuted for fraud during gil selling and for monopolizing resources (NM drops). Personally, I'd love to see someone put in an Audit Request for a Gil Selling Linkshell upon the high value NM drops. If it can be proven that Linkshell is Monopolizing a drop for money and they are making real world money from it, they can be prosecuted under the Sherman Anti-Trust Act (laws about Monopolies in America).

It's pretty in-demand for sushi, I'm sure a lot more of it is supplied by gardeners than by the guild.

Suspect (from Pikko's recipes and those posted) you would do better with dark crystal fed on Watersday. FYI, here are some of Pikko's better recipes for TT Rice:
