To any DRG attempting this fight for the first time, here's some tips:
Don't worry about stocking up on any meds, just garp the Opo-Opo necklace and at least 4 Sleeping Pots(to get 100 TP before engaging Maat), and an Icarus Wing(You can 2 hour after your first Penta, if you're poor), and you got it made.
It takes 2 Pentas and a few swings of your Lance with your Wyvern hitting as well, and the old man will be dead.
This is how I won first time out, and I know(for how easy it was) anyone can do the same on their first try as well.
found the DRK LB5 to be one of the easiest personally. watched my wife beat it as 69 drk on first try. Opo neck. 4x sleeping potions. vile elixir. icarus wing. maat hit two hour. she stunned him and ran til it was gone. walked back in and guillotined as many times as she could. maat dropped hard. drg might do as well with pretty much the same materials if you can afford em.
I found the drop rates to be pretty bad actually, especiallyin Monastic cavern, got no drops in 3 hours. Thewn we went out to Davoi, close to the houses and got 3 drops in one hour.
Sea serpant Grotto isn't bad either, and while I haven't tried it, I think you could solo the delta sahagins with /mage if you pull intelligently.
When i was lvl 70 i maxxed up my XP then me and my other lvl 70 drg friends (only 2 other 70 drg friends i had) fought this guy three times every two hours cause are dragoon keep on dieing so then after we got all 3 testimoney we took on matt XD i was safe and bought alot of x potions =P
If you look a little more closely, you'll see that the EF orcs are HALF-ORC dragoon, HALF-ORC whitemage, etc. "Orcish ________" is just a normal orc, this one just happens to have a very nice drop. ^^
hmm the names of the monsters during EF are like...Orcish Ranger, Orcish White Mage, Goblin Beastmaster, etc. and which jobs show up is random, so i guess it's possible they fought an orcish dragoon for EF
Yes the jobs of those high lvl mobs will determine which testimony is dropped. Obviously you need to fight the ones with the job that is the same as yours.
As for maat he is the npc in relude gardens who you talk to for the lvl break quests and generally most ppl fight him at lvl 70.
This is for Dragoons that wish to do Genkai 5 to break the lvl 70 cap so you may lvl to 75. Dragoons need this to fight Maat. Other jobs will need their specific job testimony to fight Maat.

When you near 50 you'll know who Maat is, and learn to hate him like the rest of us. He's the old goat that gives out the stupid genkai quests. (Level cap breakers)
In case anyone is wondering, 1st is worst, 2nd isn't so bad, 3rd is easy but dangerous, 4th is ABSURDLY EASY, and 5th is mild to deranged depending on class. (Thf & Whm = Mild. Rdm & Drk = omfg hard.) When you fight Maat he assumes human stats, and niether of you have subs, plan ahead, bring potions.
