Well first it started out that I'm just overly-sedimental and kept it since it was my first SAM sword, figuring the Rare/Ex was just so you couldn't sell/trade it. Then after looking at the site I almost laughed that I still needed it. So now I keep anything Rare/Ex and check here before tossing it...whew...
A LS friend and I have this Motto of .... NEVER THROW AWAY ANYTHING GIVEN THAT IS RARE AND EX FROM AN ADVANCED JOB NPC QUEST.... after reading this.. I am like.... phew..... I still have it.. no 30k loss for me ^^

Its been a while since i finished the quest i had a lvl 73 war kill it with ease, she brought her whm sub w/ so i didnt die i did while she helped me, i joined the fight vs the fish, and we had np killing it,

I just completed this quest last night with the assistance of Ktd (72RDM) and Surm (75WAR) on Phoenix. The Sack of Fishbait dropped on the first Goblin Robber and it was all smooth sailing from there. There were only two Couerls(sp) that needed to be taken care of at the lake. They were toast in seconds! Once I traded the fishbait to the "???", Isonade was taken out in under a minute. In my opinion, one lvl. 75 helper is all you really need. BTW, I was a lvl. 41SAM/20WAR at the time. Thanks again to Ktd and Surm! Without you guys I'd still be Magoroku-less!

i was with a 65ish ninja and he took it out no problemo. i however died and devleveled trying to get the hell out of zitah XD

it wasn't hard, i agree. i had my friend (62 pld) and myself as my main job (62 blm) kill it. i mainly supported him while he maxed out his hate then unleashed all my nukes onto it. not to bad ^^
and yes you can use a higher job after you've accepted the quest to complete it. unless its the AF3, cause i'm not sure if it is. but for AF1 and AF2 you can use a higher leveled job (if you have one) to complete it.

Many people have asked if this was a hard AF to get.
As a lvl 40 samurai, I had the help of a PLD60 and a RDM59, after clearing the coeurls from the area, the NM fish was a walk in the park for the three of us (the two of them.)

i dropped the lvl 42 Magoroku on accident thinking it was a smooth stone ><. i'v traveled to Norg and have talked to Jaucribaix and Ranemaud yet neither sell the Mumeito for 30k. is fame a factor or am i talking to the incorrect NPC's?
