I am a level 39 red mage and i was farming the Thousandarm Deshglesh and wandered in the room they were in while waiting and i got it 1/1 tries. Does anyone know if you can get it a second time with one in your inventory?

i see the shield is not rare or ex. anymore, and i am 1/35 on this thing, does anyone know if it still drops from him after the update on the shield, im starting to believe it stoped dropping it. lol. been 28 kills with nothing fallen from eather of the two.

The shield does still drop after the update, it just has a 4.3% drop rate. I got it on my first kill.

I'm 1/1 on this and 0/1 on the strikes. Don't see what the big deal is, maybe I just got luckey, but oh well. 100k for me. :]! I'll hunt another one later for my BST.
EDIT: I don't have TH either, my THF is still lvl 1, harharhar.

Same here with the shield and the fists apparently, 1/1 on the shield and 0/1 on the fists. Weird... >.> <.< >.> <.<

ooof, you are so lucky. Currently I am 0/33 on this ; ;
recently came back to FFXI... my old charector may still be on here but anyways... i got this i think 0/2 on... but it wont sell for more then 20k on the server Asura... so theres really no point to sell it, im just gonna use it for my RDM :)
0/10 on this 4/8 on the Strike Baghnakhs.
besides the more jobs that can equip... the "Clipeus" is a much better shield and 10000000x easier to get

1/3 on this, and 0/2 on the weapons. Very easy camp, just figure out when the thing spawns and check back approximately every hour after that.

This Shield goes for 200k last time i checked Kujata Server.
I dont know why you guys are having so much trouble with drops. I pulled it my first time and got the drop. There was a guy there that was waiting there for three days for the shield. You started cussing me out and telling me to let him kill it. I killed it and got the drop. Then my friend who was in my party (also the leader) decides he wants the shield for himself (we were supposed tp be selling it and splitting the money.) So he sets it to quarter-master, gets the shield, and i'm there looking like an idiot.

I really wanted this shield but i guess ill have to camp it later today ALONE or with my best friend.

I finally got this drop again after literally over a month of off-and-on camping. I need the shield to level BST with because I have no other appropriate shield, and a friend of mine happened to owe me this shield (he sold mine). So obviously I'm not gonna go pay 100k+ for it when my friend owes it to me. So I camp it off and on, whenever I'm waiting on day changes or the like. Tonight I was camping it while waiting for Darksday to go away so I could continue crafting. Well, it gets late, I get tired, I decide to go to bed. I say my /goodbyes to my LS and type in /logout. I kneel down and get to about 10 seconds left when he pops. I jump up and kill him, getting the drop finally after more than 30 kills. ^_^ I'm going to bed happy tonight!

I got this 1/7 for the mob. This may be a shot in the dark but I keep track of the spawn times while I was killing them, did it at night over 3days after work, and could be just pure chance but it set up a pattern for me. The way I have it set up is not how it happened, but after I would kill it, it would respawn, kill it, the second time it resawned, it would skip two numbers ahead on the chart.
1.....1 hour
2.....1 hour 5min
3.....1 hour 10min
4.....1 hour 15min
5.....1 hour 20min
6.....1 hour 25min
7.....1 hour 30min
I got my drop on 4, spawning an hour and 15min after I killed it. Again, this is just collection of thoughts, not sure if it's something to go by or not, haven't been back to check it out since I got my shield, but if it helps.........and would be interesting to find out if it is true

alright this thing like never drops ive been clamining this every time i am on and i still havent got it im around my 30th clamin for each though i have gotten the hand to hand once i have been owning these clamies but still i cant get the drops .... sooo not fair im 0/28 for sheild and 1/28 for hand to hand... any advice anyone ; ;

I'm 0/5 on this shield and 0/5 on the claws that the other machine drops. *sigh* Our prices are gouged SO badly -- I am NOT paying 100k for it, I'm sorry.
It's going to be a long damn day. I'm worried that the 50% and 55% moon phases I've killed them at may have something to do with it... no TH, but the people who claim to have gotten it all seem to have done so without TH. *sigh.*
It's true that it isn't heavily camped, but I HAVE been competing for it with at least three people since I came here, one or two at a time. One guy has become particularly upset with me, but can I help it if I can't afford to pay 100k for the stupid thing? ; ;
Later: I'm 0/8. Full moon (100%), Lightsday, THF sub, what more can I do? :3 Keep trying, I guess... I just wish I could get it so I could get out of here and leave the camp to others.

First time I killed this thing I actually got the drop, but since then I've gone 1/7 for it. Goes for an easy 100k in the Fairy serv. Not many people camp it.
im a LvL 33SAM/16WAR and im 4/12 on the shields which sell for 80k on the Titan server and i'm 6/12 on the strike baghks... my friend is so pissed at me cause of it he is about 0/20 somthing PLUS i just got a Emp pin drop :D!!

THIS IS NOT A NM, its a MOB.
But their drops are as good as lower-end NMs so does it matter? They even act like NMs in their spawn time, and they're in isolated areas. So I think even though it is really a mob, it is ok to think of it as an NM.
I have been camping for the shield for the past 3 days. Am now 0 for about 10. Have gotten the drop off of wallbreacher 3 times though. 10k each for the baghnaks. It is not even about the gil anymore though, I just want to see the wonderful message that says the shield is now mine.

I was camping Ashmaker glubot and got pissed that he woldn't drop the priests robe (I think I got enough hermit wands to sell to be able to buy the freakin robe) so I ran out here to get an Obelisk (I needed it to craft it into obelisk lance). I ran into these two guys on accident. There was no one around so I killed 'em both, but didn't get any drops :(

I similarly saw JP WHM camping the spot. Although my first time I just randomly showed up with both NMs spawned and nobody around for miles.

i might just be having a little luck but im 2/5 on this and 1/3 on the wallbreacher... i usually check if they're there before and after mining in yughott grotto... it seems to me that its a fairly easy drop... im a lvl 26 rdm/thf

30 k not too bad. I just bought kamp armor u lookin at to 40k to 70k a pieace. well worth it though. I got the shield on my third or forth kill with a 22war/mnk at the time
