On the siren server in windy and bastok ah they sell for 1k broken in sandy 6K. I take a stack of each item needed for insect paste,3 good clothspoles, and fishing gear to the little pond in w ron. Usually end up with 2 broken and 10 stacks of moat carps. Moats sell for 4k per stack 2 broken poles 6k each. Sometimes takes a little bit for the poles to sell but moats sell like crack. Or just trade for the lushang
You don't need fishing skill up to break them...buy Slices of Bluetail, head for the ferry, sneak fish, and try to catch fish, my skill is in the low 20's(fishing) and I break about 2-3 rods per trip, and as a bonus I get an occasional Fishing Skillup

hate how they sell for 3k broken and 1k new,wish i had fishing up so i could break them myself:(
they sell for more because they are used purely for skillups. This is a level 73 woodworking item. They cost more broken because most ppl using them to skill up woodworking are too lazy to go fish and break them themselves.
