This is NOT the best armor for every class that can use it... WAR and such could use Adaman Hauberk, which is like the best melee body in the game IMO... this is good for like RNG NIN MNK SAM

Hauberk isn't really better than this for anyone because of the massive stat and defense drops; you can get ACC+ elsewhere. The Adaman Hauberk, however, is definitely better for a DRK because they need the ACC+ due to their low hit rates; for WAR, thought, that's iffy, a real coin toss, and you can still get ACC from other places. The only thing Adaman Hauberk has that this doesn't is the ACC+15; Attack+15 is nothing at this level.
For MNK, though, this is THE ultimate armor. None better. You got MND+10 for Chi Blast, STR+10 and DEX+10 for smacking things around, and then VIT+10 and great defense for if you pull hate with an overly powerful Chi Blast. This is definitely made for the MNK (and the BST too, actually, since they have mostly low base stats).
For MNK, though, this is THE ultimate armor. None better. You got MND+10 for Chi Blast, STR+10 and DEX+10 for smacking things around, and then VIT+10 and great defense for if you pull hate with an overly powerful Chi Blast. it's great for BSTs and BRDs too because of the MP+30 and the CHR+10 (unless they can get their hands on a mahatma houppelande)

ummm...why is ur combat gear so gimped? i know u got a PC and black belt..but why do u wear osode for chi blast but not combat? that makes no sense. and why do u use a kampfer ring???? and aikido ******* @75??? thats gimped. IMO, u should have an op hat by now, and maybe two snipers at best. check my gear, and maybe you'll learn something... also, why are u using a jupiter's ring?? +6 dex isnt going to help you. you're a mnk. play it right.
It's all +counter gear for soloing/tanking, you dolt.

Actually, you CANNOT sell this item over the AH. This is one of those mysterious items that cannot be sold even though it has no EX flag. The RA means that yes, you can only have one, but even though it lacks the EX tag, it still cannot be sold. A lot of the CoP items (Signet Staff, Aketon, etc.) have similar properties.

all non ex items can be sold in bazaar, including kirin's osode. LS friend bought one for 12m. Going price on my server is around 15m but it is going down due to the emergence of many high lvl NA LSs killing Kirin.
Not sure about this, but the new CP items can be sold in Bazaar.
Also i think i have seen Kirin's Staff in someone's Bazaar, but not sure.

This armor is Rare type can only trade or Bazaar it. You can't sell it in AH or sent to someone via delivery box.
Just to cover some things since it hasn't been covered -
MP +30: Nice, but only if you have a mage sub or have a mp -> hp item equipped. This best suits brd/bst whom usually sub a mage.
STR +10: As said by many, this gives attack +5, but was overlooked is that unlike attack, like also reduces MINIMUM damage, making this potentially better than say, attack +20. This suits, well, anyone.
DEX +10: Better accuracy, helps any class.
VIT +10: Improves chakra (+20hp, more with temple crown), and lowers overall damage.
AGI +10: Improves evasion, which any class needs, and ranged accuracy, which most of the classes need.
INT +10: Improves ninjutsu, will (supposedly) increase Counter activation, make subs (if blm/rdm/nin) more effective.
MND +10: Helps with Chi Blast, makes subs (if whm or rdm..or pld o_O) more effective.
CHR +10: Makes brd songs/bst charming more effective.
Light +50: Anyone who's fought the really high level NMs (Despot, Faust, Pawberry, Kirin) knows that they have have some strong light-based attack, so this explains it's usefullness.

uh... temple crown has nothing to do with chakra, temple cyclas and melee gloves are the only two items in the game that enhance chakra
The +mp and +CHR would also be nice for a BST who usually sub WHM

INT helps with ninjutsu all of a sudden? Then again, I reall wouldn't know if did in the first place or not. Never really bothered with NIN.
Heard that it improves the damage+effectiveness of some Ninjutsus....but I guess that'd make it too close to BLM magic...and it's actually make some of the Ninjutsu more useful, god forbid ¬¬;;
NIN/BLM for the win. I've heard it can be good heh, 150-200 damage Ni-level ninjutsu.

just so you know my LS went to fight it like 3 times with 3 thf and we got 1 of this armor and 1 pole all in the 3 fights we are selling the pole for 15 mill and this armor for 30 mill, so if you want it start saving a lot ^^

Dude, do you have any idea how much more lag a mantle or cape swaying in the wind would create? Just imagine if almost all the people standing infront of the jueno AH were whereing mantles and capes that are swaying in the wind. It would probably take you about 5 minutes to get in range of the AH counter and another 5 minutes to pull up the AH list.

damn i love this armor im a DRK now but when DRK hits 75 im gonna level ninja just for this armor well the whole set will be tough but heck optherp eople can do it so why can i. Although i dontk now what the drop rate is i heard some say it drops 1/5 others are like dude its like 1/100.

I like the fact that there are only + effects on this armor. Other armors such as the Hauberk's and Scorpians' have - effects like -12 evasion or -20 light(or something). Just my 2 cents
just how much would an item like this go for...off a lv 90 mob...hahahahah id pay my soul for this....not like some dum sh*t people sell ungodly amount of gil for.

In my opinion, maybe you can leak 7 (since 10 DEX is 5 acc) accuracy from the osode but that's the only counterpart while you can have so much benefit such has +10 STR for a lot more damage along with the +5 attack, there's also the +10 (chakra) vit for less damage taken along with a far better defense , Mind is good for chi blast, and Also more critical hits. I mean, it's our common stats, everything is based on this, and this is no small increase, but +10. That's about 7-8 level up in stats on that very single gear.

Can someone back me up? I am on the Bahamut server, and saw two ppl wearing this. One was blue, the other was red. I checked both, and they had the same armor. I know there are only a handful of char's with this, but if someone can verify if they've seen the same thing, I'd appreciate it. It would be sweet if you can choose what your character looked like...now if they can actually show the mantle/cape on your char, swaying with the wind when you move, that would be even better...

I don't know if it's better for SAM than Haubergeon +1 or for NIN than Scorpion Harness +1 but I'd wear this over those two body pieces anyday. I like the fact that it essentially gives you Attack +5 (STR +10) Evasion and R. Accuracy +5 (AGI +10) Accuracy +5 and better crit. hit rate (DEX +10). This is all pretty uber... I would love to have this XD

Actually "Dude", not all Rare items that don't have an EX can be put in the auction house. Try putting a colored drop on the AH.
There are items that exist with only RARE which cannot be sold to other PC except in bazaar.

All i can say is this is the most uber bst body piece ever...and there is nothing better as far as body for bst then this...its perfect for soloing
No, it doesn't Hauberk is better than this. This is more of a status thing as there is better Armor for WAR/BST/SAM/NIN
+10 to a stat is freakin sweet. +10 to all stats is uber. I think that this is 10x better than Hauberk.

Hauberk(or Haubergeon) is better. A damage dealer doesnt care about lowered Evasion or -AGI. DD's want Acc+ and Atk+.

Hauberk, Haubergeon, Adamn Hauberk is 50million times better than this. Then again Hauberk and Adaman Hauberk is for DRK/BST/WAR only. I believe many mellee jobs can use Haubergeon though.
