Red Chip  

Tried the password as below in Crawler's Nest. Name starts with LAK, so:

13 - 02 - 12 - (13+02+12=27)

Password: 13021227 - didn't work

Did I do something wrong? ^^

I'm making this post on all the colored chip forums that work with the strange apparati.

The Password is based off the first 3 characters of your name and the zone's number.

The first thing you want to do is decided which zone, the zones value is the starting value of the alphabet's number values. So, if you go to Wadi A = 00, but the Maze A = 07.

Now, once you have that get the first 3 letters of your name, and find the numeric value of them. Let's use ABE as an example. For Wadi, A = 00, B = 01, and E = 04. But, for the Maze, A = 07, B = 08 and E = 11. These are the first 6 numbers of the password.

To get the last 2 you need to take the value of your letters, and add them, i.e. ABE @ Wadi = 00+01+04 = 05, and ABE @ Maze = 07+08+11 = 26.

So, for the Password of ABE in Wadi you need 00010405. While ABE at Maze is 07081126.

I hope this makes sense to most of you. And here is the listing of the zone values.

This quest is pointless now, don't bother doing it.

It has been done so much even if you register yourself as a doctor you can't possibly make a profit. If you get luck and find a rune blade it is still a loss because those are so damn rare.

ooookay out of the 50 tries I just did I learned a few things about doing these stupid machines. A password is NOT needed but a correct one will let you use infinity cores over and over again. DO NOT EVER try this on the day of the elemenet or the day the element is strong/weak against it seems to double cluster chances. You may happly ignore the moon on this it doesnt make enough differance to matter I did some of my best runs on random moon phases. Crafters this machine is your new best friend I have made several million gil doing this and if your doing one of the craft gaps where everything is at a loss (all you 60-80 bonecrafters like me) this will help you make some money back. DO NOT try and do this for 1 quick run take at least 4 chips to make a profit. Last but not least dont try this if you cannot afford to lose a bit of gil you have bad luck spells now and then just like anything else. Please rate up ^.^

In the dungeon area, lower-right quadrant of (F-11) in Dangruf Wadi there is a Strange Apparatus.

Once you enter the dungeon area, go all the way to the West Wall (southern area of the west wall) and run into the wall.

But be forwarned ... no not fall into the hole if your level is below 20, or if you are not capable of solo'ing in Valkrum Dunes.

The door to the apparatus acts like any other door, target it and select it to open it.
