Thanks, everything is sold now though, due to the inflation and me needing other job gears. I still have alot of nice EQ for DRG, cus I kept most for WAR. Now I'm sporting the hecatomb until I get the homam.

Because to be truely 1337 you need to have a capped parry. With this you will be dodging and parrying like a madman (specially if you're a NIN). Easier to get a hold of parry boosting gear than evasion skill gear. I'm gonna take my parrying to 200+ then I'm gonna lvl WAR as main. Gonne be sweet ^^

Yes, that is correct. you can craft this item 91 goldsmithing though and need smithing also don't know what lv. the crafting items are as follows:
[Fire] Copper Ingot, Darksteel Sheet, Ocl. Sheet, Gold Ingot, Sapphire, Sheep Leather, Mercury
