What can I say? HQ of all Barspells, Enspells(if your blm/rdm skilling), Protect II, Shell II, Blink... doesnt seem to affect Stoneskin as I hear that it is MND related. But I can definately solo a LOT better and much harder mobs due to the enhancement magic boost. Demographically, I have the 3rd known pair amongst the NA/EU population on my server. If any JP have it I have not seen them before. So are they worth it? HELL yes should be on any solo BLM's wish list. They are pride of ownership. They good for more than just solo too, I swap them in when I do my buffs, it even seems to make my buffs last longer in duration. I never wear them full time due to enmity and the fact that I have Sorcerer's Sabots and Nashira Crackows already.

Update on this item: I just ate a laser shower from Proto Omega while weakened with stoneskin, blink, and phalanx up. Everyone else took 600+ damage. I took 0 damage. It didnt even strip my stoneskin.

conserve mp+4 is godly for a blm, you simply dont know the job. best blm feet. sacrificing 3 or 4 int for conserve mp +4 is a wise sacrifice

not true whilst the con MP +4 is nice the sorcerer's sabots give con MP+5 with +2 INT and an MP boost as well as -1 enimity and if you are lucky and upgrade them it increase the mp boots by 1 the int to 3 and the - enimity to -2 the con MP stays the same by far the better boot

i have a pair of these i signed them myself^^, also my girlfriend(RL) has the second pair i made
On November 3rd The first harajinite Shell droped on the Lakshmi Server, to the Harbingers linkshell(yay! go us!!) on the 4th we had the boots crafted by Sleekmotowurkz(Thank you Sleek!) So now I am the proud owner of the first and currently only pair of these boots on the Lakshmi server.

Yeah sorry, I hate to tell you but there are a few BLMs on Lakshmi with these. Granted most are JP, none-the-less, why would you think that you are the first on the server to obtain them after their being in existance for as long as they have been? You just havn't seen them because there are better alternatives that are easier going about obtaining. These arnt uber in any way, their simply just rare.

Wow a year since I got my boots and since i've checked this area. You know you are most likely right that these wern't the first pair on Lakshmi, i didn't interview every peron on the server after all, but I had done a lot of asking around prior to my post and have continued from time to time to ask around, and Have only recnetly come across a 2nd pair on the server, which Yoda had the chance to first put up in auction. But hey am I wrong most likely but who cares, considering I havn't the time to devote to HNM/God/Dynamis groups as I wish, certain gear is beyond my reach, so go ahead try to burst my bubble, the memories of the people who helped me hunt the Shell and the excitment of fishing that bugger up and killing him fast enough, has a lot more value then you assume, not gil wise of course but meh, so nice try but believe me I've always suspected other pairs, yet to find them though so please feel free to point 'em out, granted you'll need ta hunt me down ingame since I so rarely check these boards as you can see XD.

no offence misclaniousman, but if u notice the other guys post, it was OVER a year ago..i bet he probably did have the 1st on the server, but i'm sure a few more have them now that it's OVER a year later... >.> /sigh

to duder thats stupid: do you even know how these are obtained?
Though this gear gives the doomed +2 Enmity, they are far better then the alternative for BLM at this level which is Errant. If you look at the errant gear you'll notice all you get from that is +5 MND and +20 MP. The Dark Magic Skill + and the "Conserve MP" + alone are worth it.
Now if I can just find someone who can make these.

you should take in account of the Sorcerer's Sabots. they give -1 enimity, +5 Conserve Mp, +2 Int, and +18 mp. If you can get your hands on those through Dynamis-Jeuno, you should use those rather than the Igqira Huaraches.

I'm a blm who solo's a lot. I have a lot of great soloing gear, however blm lack a lot in enhancing magic, and enhancing magic powers phalanx and stoneskin... seeing how I melee when I solo because I enjoy that, these things are incredible for soloing. Just my enhancing torque alone helps a lot with phalanx, but this would really be worth while to me. Then conserve mp on all of the magics I use to solo, and drain/aspir with dark magic... These really aren't bad for exping either. Everyone has been saying bad things about the +2 enmity, who cares? If you're a blm strong enough to wear these, you probably realized you only cast once or twice a battle... and the last nuke is usually a magic burst that kills the mob. So the Enmity isn't really that important, god knows I'd never use these in HNM fight, but in exp and solo these things are insane. Sadly, the drop rate on Harajnite Shell is horrible... I've killed him a few times and didn't get a drop. Then I read about it, hehe some people are like 0/40, this drop seems like trying to get thief knife >_<; In any case, this would make meleeing Decent Challenge and Even Match much easier. I swear I'm gonna have these soon ; ;

My theory is: In HNM battles, the hate is flying around so much with melees with more Enmity + (than me a blm)it doesn't really matter. In my opinion these are the easiest 70+ blm boots to get that actually help blm.

As of this post, this item has never been listed on the AHs of Sylph, but oddly enough, the +1 version HAS. Heh heh.
SHiva has none of these either, and I can tell you right now, I'm watching for this item like a hawk.

Odin has had these up for quite a while in AH, even the +1's. The normal one is going for ~1.5mil atm, while some of the other gear is 20-60k ( i think the gloves and mask). Dont remember the other prices. I'll submit a SS.
Odin does not have these, its never been listed yet, neither has Harajnite shell.
there in none of the Fenrir AHs eather. can they be REX or what cause i have the head body and hands given to me i just need the feet but i cant find it aney where.

if i remember correctly, other pieces of this JSE set has additional effect of curse. So if the BLM wears it to get aggro, the mob will be cursed. And i think everyone knows what being cursed feels like.
Whos server has these for sale? How much? Odins a little slow at getting the item from the fished NM...its not even listed on AH yet. ;;
Fairy hasn't had any of these or the Harajnite Shell on the AH. >_<

LoL well look at what this armor does... it quadruples the effect of the "Conserve MP" Trait of Black Mages...that means that 4x as many spells will be conserved. Thats amazing enough already but it also adds to their magic skill! The Enmity+2 is definitely worth it

according to the info i have read the conserve MP trait is 25% of spells will get the effect and the effect is cost of cast reduced from full to between 1/2 and 15/16 of full cost
conserve MP +(insert amount here) increase that persentage of spells by the + ammount
for example conserve mp trait + igquia weskit and sorcerer's sabots = 32% of spells cast will have mp cost reduced
conserve MP + gear will not effect the amount of MP reduced
i hope this helps i also understand that is post was awhile ago and the info i read may be new but i thought i'll post anyway

Mystery Tour said it was Enmity +2 as well. This armor set is too good to not have any disadvantages though ^^;
Besides, a Black Mage high enough to wear this should have enough -Enmity to easily counter the +2 from this.

In any case, having the enmity in effect enhances the curse effect.
Your BLM AF is replaced by other iquira pieces, or by the black cloak by this level, in effect removing most of your - enmity items.
The conserve MP alone is worth this.
However, I would strongly recommend that Tarutaru mages find something else to wear.
