As a Mithra Samurai I think that my RSE boots are probably more cost effective than these. I think my RSE boots look like the best boots for me until much higher levels.
1.8-2.5 million right now on Lakshmi. I hope i can afford these when i hit 45 on DRK.

I don't disagree that there good stats on the winged boots, but the fack remains that the Lusiant feet piece has better DD stats. This isn't for soloing, it's for DDing in a party.
Trying for a complete set in Shiva. I want these so I can finally get rid of these Leaping Boots.

These boots are fine for any Samurai who isn't focusing on bows, but for those that are, even Leaping/Winged boots aren't the best choice. What you really want then are Federation Kyahan: +4 to both Attack and Ranged Attack.

Really a moot point for SAM also if you use swap macros. On Valefor these are unlisted, one person is selling for 2.5mil, and Leaping Boots are 700K. The only issue is do you want 3 mil in footwear ^_^;
I agree with Jay. I'm a 67 drk and I wear these. Dark Knights, Warriors, and Samurai (to a lesser exstent, especially if subbing Rng.) are genrally not concerned with AGI. Especially for Drk our Def is crap anyway and it can't be helped. At lvl 66 when we get Spinning Slash, we want all the STR we can get as that weapon skill is based on STR and INT (For some reason..) We already have tons of +Acc gear like Life Belt and Woodsman Rings so if we can squeeze STR out of any slot without hurting our ACC much it's a good option to do so. This comes in very handy when closing Light skillchains. I'm currently debating on wether I'm going to go for the Thick Sollerets (+1) or not next lvl. On one hand ATT+5 is happy, but on the other hand I like to keep my STR stat as high as possible. But either way, if you are wearing these through lvl 70 I doubt anyone will fault you for your equipment. For DD jobs OTHER then possibly Samurai (because of thier Archery.) these are better then winged or leapers.
I don't see how you can say these aren't better than leaping/winged for damage dealers. DDs don't care about AGI, so the only benefit leaping/winged gives is 3 DEX. Luisant Solerets gives more stats for a DD job. They are the best for DRK until Thick at 68.

To say that these are better than leaping or winged I doubt that. The rough estimate for dex:acc is 2:1, and the leaping/winged boots offer 3dex and 3agi. Agi lowers the dmg range that a mob can do to you, thus the reason for all those pld wearing agi+ earrings. Combine this with the dex and agi off a emperor's hairpin and you have +3acc and 6agi twards lowering dmg OR, if you don't use/have the hairpin, you can grab a single dex pretty easily for an acc of +2. I do agree with you that the str is a nice bonus but honestly str is fairly easy to get.

Ok how about no Scott......that would definitly be Vitality that you're talking about. Agility is for ranged accuracy/parry/shield.

I always thought that PLD wore AGI+ earrings because AGI is the stat that increases parry/shield block/evasion chance.. But hey, I'm just a taru, what do I know?

Lvl 56 DRK here and a....well if u dont have either leaping boots or winged boots these are pretty good for a drk until you get either of them. Uh...and their better then your AF boots aswell (stat wise, obviously not defense).
these are better than either leaping or winged boots by a wide margin. Raw accuracy is > DEX anyday not to mention they offer STR as well as Attack
