Can you lose the Yagudo Cutting in a synth? I want to synth it for my ls when we do the quest but I don't want to break anything, granted I have skill over the cap, but you know how multiple skill items are.
do you have to start this quest in order to get the yagudo cutting? if you do, ill get it and i have the materials to get it crafted but i need a crafter, my name is Catastrophe on Fairy server, thanks.
Hey, Trying to get this, I am going to gather the materials soon and was just wondering if anyone on Remora server would be able to craft it for me, it would be greatly apriciated.
If anyone can make this on Alexandra send me a tell to Erdrick. I really really want this, i just think it looks cool.. i can get all the ingredients, and also pay to have it made. Thanks
Hmm...If anyone on Fenrir could make this could you please send me a tell? I would really appreciate this I have all the items the crystal and everything just need a crafter...

Hey, my friend on Asura server would like this made, but he can't seem to find anyone that can make it. If there's anyone on Asura that can make this, we have the items needed, just need someone to synth it. /tell Goggetatenks. (Thank you.) in advance.
I have looked everywhere and cannot find an answer to this question Please Please help me out I have posted all over and gotten no response ================================================ I would like to get the Yagudo Headgear for the upgrade and it just looks sweet.
Problem is I accidently flagged the Orc Helm quest helping with a Rank 5 run.
I have tried completing this quest up to the point that I have recived the Key Item for the NM fight. Had the NQ helm synthed from item etc.
Is there any way that I can flag the Yagudo quest? I have zoned in and out of the Alter Room for the CS and nothing.
Do I have to fight the NM for the HQ Orchelm?
Has anyone ever done more then one of these?
I cant find answers anywhere on this site I could be blind. Thanks for the help.
=============================================== ok so the only advice i have recived and i was on the thf forum is this:
You must do the NM fight to be able to trigger another Helm quest.
Or... just have someone escort your mule to the magicite you want the helm from and then trade it to your main after it is crafted. ================================================
Believe synthesis requirements are 80+ Cloth, 60+ Bone, 60+ Leather. This hat is my STATUS SYMBOL <3 Rawr, go bird-head kitty Riaayo! ^-^ Nyao~ After you synth your first hat, if you return to the clothcraft guildmaster, for 300k she'll toss you another pattern [don't say yes unless you want it right then and there, learn from my mistake @.@; Would be why I have two hats, now... xD]. I'm not sure about the NM fight though, I'm yet to attempt that. I've also never seen proof that these hats stop aggro from that type of beastmen, although I have not really tried because I figured it bogus [and don't feel like dieing. Something that aggros lvl 70? No Ty Sir]. However, in terms of first hat without NM, it only ran me something like 260k or something total [a friend synthed for me, so that was free]. Really depends on your server economy, and availability of a synther. Why would you want this hat? WHO DOESN'T WANT TO BE A YAGUDO-HEAD!? ~WARK~
I have this item and i still get aggro from Yags...is the information wrong that all these people or posting or have i not done something to activate its 'hidden' ability???
Holy crap do i love pirates... if i was going to add PIRATES INTO THIS GAME I'D ALSO GIVE THEM A HAT THATS MADE OUT OF A BIRD.,. Can you imagine that?!>@ it would be a japanese hat obviously because they program good hats.
This japanese pirate hat could be like a helicopter that shoots lasers and fights bears that are on fire.. AWEOSMEOM1
No one has responded to my post. I have seen several similar posts from people having the same problem I am. I am level 65. I have hero or near hero fame in all cities. I have done up to ZM14. I have zoned into the magicite area of the Altar Room in Castle Oztroja from both sides (the one near the magicite and the one after the drop off), and poked all around inside. I don't get any cutscene. There must be other requirements to get this quest. Fame is probably not one, because I would meet fame requirements. Does this require a certain level of CoP missions? Any responses would be appreciated.

I don't think you can do it if you have accepted any other beastmen hat quests at the time. I accepted the gob one without knowing it and couldn't flag any of the others. May want to check and see if you've accidentally triggered any of the other quests first.
but why do i wanna do this? i mean the stats on this hat just suck, i can think of much better things to spend my gil on than a piece of armor that just gives elemental +, but if this is your kind of thing thats cool but there are way cheaper items than this that do almost the same thing.
why you would wantit.... NO AGGRO FROM BEASTMEN OF THAT HATS Race PERIOD other then hnm, you can run around them like they are nothing. Goblin hat is mega useful for Bibiki Bay pulling. So before you plan to hate, look at its beenfits, Hinden effect is no Aggro, making trips threw Their head courters mega easy.
I've done the Goblin Coif headgear quest up to the point in which it's synthed. When i zoned into the castle i got no CS from the goblin. Does anyone know why i did not recieve this quest? Is it because you can only do one of the headgear quests?
Zone into the Altar Room, where you get the magicite for Mission 4. Hobnox will give you a story in a cutscene about how he snuck in as a Yagudo, but the costume was too itchy, so it came off. He mentions that he has a key and he wants you to help him steal the Yagudo treasure.
If it's gil, he'll split half with you. If it's an item, he'll split half it's value with you. He says that in order to get into the treasure room, you'll need to look like a yagudo, as well. Hobnox says to visit the weaver's guild in Windurst.
At the end of the Cutscene, go to Windurst's Weaver guild, in Windurst Woods. It's near the Auction house if you've never been there, easy to see on the map. Enter the weaver's guild left-hand building. You need to speak to a tarutaru named Polona, she is just inside the entrance.
Polona says she can make part of the headdress for you, but she needs some materials to make it. Bring her a velvet cloth, a rainbow cloth, and 20k in gil. Trade all 3 to her and she will tell you to come back in a day.
Once a game day has passed, or the clock reaches 0:00, talk to Polona again to recieve a Yagudo cutting (which I am tempted to say was Rare).
Polona tells you that to complete the yagudo Headdress you need to find an adept weaver, who is also skilled in bonecraft and leathercraft.
This is what I have learned so far about this quest, please feel free to post additions or corrections.
You first zone into the area where the magicite for castle oztroja rank 5 is. If you are 61+ you automatically get the quest.
The Gob tells you to talk to somone about having a mask crafted.
Go to the weavers guild in Windy Woods and talk to Polona (think thats how its spelled) shes the taru you talk to to turn in rank advancement in weaving.
After that she tells you to bring her a rainbow cloth and velvet cloth.
After you bring her the cloth she gives you yag cutting.
Once you have the yag cuttings you will need:
2 yag feathers 2 black pearls (HQ version of lev 18 synth of shall shells) Wool Thread **** Skin Bugard Tusk (rare drop) Yag Cutting
You will need a Clothcrafter lev 80+ with bone sub of at least 40 I think.
After you have your Yagudo Headgear you will need to return to Castle Oztroja and zone in with headgear on.
You will get a Cut Sceen and a key item :Vault Quippus (i think thats what its called)
After that go further inside and there is going to be an area I think its called vault door or somthing like that.
There you click on the area and it will spawn I want to say 7 or 6 yags.
BRD SMN NIN SAM MNK WHM BLM
I suggest you kill the smn and blm first as these yags will 2hr on you.
I've yet to beat the yags but I can tell you that it can get pretty nasty.
Went there with 6 ppl the first time:
PLD RDM WHM DRG DRK - 75 BLM -68
We tried to sleep them which can be done pretty easily. There is a yag advatar though that doesn't like to be slept. And whenever you beat up on him the other yags seem to not like you at all.
The second time we did it was same first party and another BLM (75) SMN (72). I think that if we had the smn 2hr earlier than we would have one as they were beating the crap out the PLD.
I think an alliance of maybe 12 75s can beat this, or less if you can keep the yags slept.
I'm going to try again and i'll post what happens ^ ^
I am level 61+, I have zoned into the Altar Room with the Magicite involved in Mission 4, and poked around in all areas of this zone. I do not receive a cutscene of sort. There must be some other prerequisite for this quest. Can anyone clue me in?

Nice guide, but you can zone the Yagudos (I reccomend a NIN with AF boots {movement +25% at night} pops them and then runs) have everyone there wait at the zone and go with them, or the Yagudos will go for them. =P After zoning them, wait 45 seconds or so and go in and watch them despawn. The last one to have gotten into position will be the last to despawn. To win, you must kill the Yagudo Avatar. Zone them a few times until he, or him and a few friends are all that's left, and it's a really easy fight. :)
to start the quest, you need to zone into the altar room in castle O. its where the magictite is. the goblin will go thru his story about treasure.. an tell you that you will need a disguise....
then you run off to the Cloth guild in windy.. speak to the guild leader.. lil girl taru.. i forget her name.. she will tell you that she can do it... for 20k.
pay her 20k. wait 1 game day. or talk to her after 0:00 from the time you trade her 20k. she will give you the main item to make this a yaguado cutting.
to make this.. 90 CC+ 30 bonecrafting sub needed. dont give this to a leather crafter.. they will fail.
once you do the quest you can buy the yaguado cutting for 300k to make more.
these are selling for about 1 mil on caitsith only cause people are greedy.
the headgear is used to spawn 6 yags in the altar room to get a even better hat.. a hat that calls a yag to your side to fight with you. the hat is lvl 75. theres an orc, gob, yag, quad one too..
Actually, you need a higher sub than 30 for bonecrafting for this. The Taru that makes the cutting tells you Adept at Clothcrafting with some skill in Bonecrafting and leather.
When I first tried this on my clothcrafting mule, I had 30 bonecrafting with support, and was not allowed to craft the recipe (This synthesis is beyond your current skill). Same with 40. Next try was with 55 bonecrafting skill, and I was successful. So, I think minimum 80 cloth, 55-60 bone, and unknown leather, since my leather sub was lvl 60 at the time.
One other thing. When you first receive the quest, you have to give the taru a piece of rainbow cloth, and something else (I can't remember) as well as gil. Once you have traded or crafted the mask, you can receive additional cuttings for gil only.
granted it looks cool, but besides that, what use is it? does it allow you to walk by yagados and not get aggroed because they think you are one of them? The elemental defenses seems quite useless.
