I just got this tunic last nite, and it's way 1337, but only for low lvl obviously.
Those of you moanin' and complainin' about how this body peice sucks....you can stick it. Cause it's painfully obvious your a mage, or at least a mage that never melees.
1) MNK cannot equip a Head+Body combo over STR+2 until lvl 57.
2) I can't even begin to remember how many WHM complain hows there's so few pieces of body armor with STR (Hexa Strike).
3) BCNM, period. I know for a fact MNK's can tear up BCNM, me and my roomate do all the time. This macro'd in for WS is beautiful.
4) BLU can also wear this, and that's a damn godsend if ya ask me for BLU. STR is bread and butter for most BLU.
How come there is only half black hoodies like this everywhere and hoodies that r whole white but HELLOOOOO what about whole black 1s???? There should be like whole black 1s cause I WANT A BLACK!
honestly, i think this item is great for any job that uses WS's, not quite sure, but i know how to make macro's with the /equip Function, such as my THF, i would use this right before my macro to SATA, or even for my DRK, so, as far as whining about the -gi, and emp pin, in this instance, switch them out. its a fantasy people, u CAN have your cake and eat it too.
This sucks for thf... if you macro this in for SATA you cant have your emp pin on at the same time... so you lose the agi... str might modify the VB (idk if it does or not) but not enough to offset losing the agi. Also emp pin is handy for the eva should you somehow manage to get hate, so unless you want to, you can usually just leave it on and have one less spot to have to macro in and out. On the other hand, some jobs have WS that are effected by str and sure, they probably could benifit from this, my mnk is <too weak> but I bet the +dex would help a bit as well for acc in Raging Fists which I'd assume is probably str based.
Personally, the way I make my macro's, is I only equip the fomor tunic for 2-5 seconds, which was when i was ready to SATAVB. By using two seperate macro's I was able to switch gear, back and forth to gather TP, and to do my SATAVB, but I managed to get more dmg from using the +STR over the +AGI, AGI only effects Trick Attack portion, which as well, again u are assuming that people own an emp pin, not everyone does, when i obtained the fomor tunic, I didn't have an emp pin, (which i got 4 lvl's later) but once u get the brigadine, the DEX+ with that and the emp pin,(if u have the pin) are much more efficient, I think this item would be very good for any melee that can wear it, especially since most melee dont really worry about the AGI, and as for evasion..well, dont be a wimp..lol jk
(reply to the 'MNK' post earlier) I can see picking jujitsu gi over this, but if u cant afford one this kicks the **** out of emp pin anyways.. Merc Captain headgear or Voyager Sallet especially are WAY better then emp. pin

No, its not over the max HP a taru can have at 40. At 31 if I put on all pieces of RSE I have the level for I would have 589 hp. With another hp boost at 35 it would not suprise me if a taru could have ~700hp at 40.
Has anyone noticed a hidden effect on this badboy? we did 2 diablos runs last night, and a high level mnk wore this so she didn't have to rebuy jujitsu, also we were going to eat sushi and not wear our snipers, due to his mass darkness attacks.
Anyhow we noticed something strange, while wearing the tunic, she woke immediatly from all sleep moves, including nightmare has anyone else found this cloak to have an extremely strong resist sleep?
That would be something worth trying to find out. If there is in fact a hidden effect, it might be worth using this more for missions like the Diabolos mission. Putting this on a mage, although it may sound wierd, would allow them to instantly wake up and then wake up the rest of the players.
Damn... just got this drop, we took it down as 5x bst and a thf. All charmed DC jellies, it ate them alive with it's aoe. Finally managed to kill it with 4 of us dead after 2hring an IT spider. It's MUCH harder than tres duendes or the stego NM, we've killed them both as 4x bst parties easily. I'll send in a fashion pic asap, but it doesn't give you the cool fomor face or anything >.<.
Does anyone know if wearing this tunic makes your face go all black with bright eyes like all the fomor mobs? If so, that'd be such a sweet item to have :)
That would be interesting XD, but no. I just got this for myself and sad to say.. normal lookin tunic, but it does seem to be a lil "brighter" then the low lvl ones.. one might say a lil "cleaner"
I think this would go best on a MNK since they are DD and don't have to worry about getting hit as much so VIT-6 isn't to bad. HP-25 is no problem for a MNK either, especially a galka MNK.
Fomor tunic vs. Emps pin and Jujitsu gi. Advantages of Fomor tunic: STR+3, wee bit more defense. Rare/Ex shows you fought for it yourself, earned it. Advantages of Emps and Jujitsu gi: Acc+4, DEX+3 and AGI+3, Evasion +10 and +10 hp (emps pin is -15 while Fomor tunic is -25)
So youre looking at STR+3 and a few defense vs. 4 Accuracy AGI+3 Evasion +10 10hp
Ill take the emps and jujitsu^ ^
Also, this has to be done in promathia missions, its an aqueduct drop ; ;
Sorry I don't play MNK so I don't know that much about it. It would still be good for a DRK though, especially, like mentioned before, a galka DRK. Of course that is long as they aren't tanking (usually only if WAR, PLD, or NIN not availible) or pulling (if highest lvl). I could be wrong though since the only character with DRK is still lvl 1 with it (my Hume) and my only galka character's highest lvl is 20.
P.S. not everyone can afford an emp hairpin and some don't have the patience to camp it for empress hairpin.
EDIT: added in when it wouldn't be as useful to DRK
There are plenty of headpeices that may not be as good as Emp Pin, but are alternatives.
Besides, VIT-6 would be terrible for pulling, even if you DO have Utsusemi. Sometimes, shadows just go down way faster than you expect, and you get hit.
Brigadine is much better, in my opinion. It's easier to get, and it has better puller stats.
Put this on a Crossbow RNG that doesn't pull. Then you're taking a step in the right direction. It's not GREAT for them either, because once again...the VIT-6 = death.
I hate to break it to you, but it's only 6 Vit. The effect on damage you recieve is no so significant that it just = death. I'm sure you wanted to post some sort of insight, but that's retarded. Really, +6 Vit doesn't make a Paladin untouchable. Don't exaggerate the effect just so you get get a comment off.
And as for the brigandine, that's 45, this is 40. If you can wear the brig in a 40-cap area, good luck with that. I love trying to read up on an item only to have the page filled with half-assed speculation on a very narrow instance from some spaz comparing apples to rocks.
Can anyone say bye bye to the Brigandine for those not tanking?!?! I mean if this was around when my redmage was coming through Crawlers Nest I would have worn this. (used to love hoodies) I mean wow some extra strength some dex, even a thf could be comfortable in this if they dont have emp pin of course.
