Went 1/1 on this BC, and DUO'd it with BLM/RDM, BLM/RDM!! So fun lol it involves 1-2 deaths but still did it no problem.
I got my X's knife last night, which brings my drop rate to 1/16.

Please make the correction.
i have a pt rugular doing this BCNM, and i got it on the 3rd time.
havent tested a lot yet, but when solo spider outside of "al zanhbi" (i cant spell it right) with food, my critical attact jump from 100-110 to 125-130, very nice boost.
now its x/blau, good bye to my good Sirocco Kukri. only bad thing is i notice significant slow than before but it's give me 10 tp garantee than 9-10 before.

If you did the mithran tracker fight the "real" way as opposed to cheating your way through with 3 SMNs then the uncapped version is a cakewalk with the same tactics using pretty much any standard exp setup.
To recap for the cheaters:
Bring PLD 2 DD WHM RDM (or BRD) and BLM and have somone bring 8 or more blackened sierdons (if you have at least 20 fishing they are very easy to get). (Note, PLD is better for this than NIN trust me on that).
Have the PLD pull the trackers then have the BLM use elemental seal + sleepga. This will not sleep Y and only sleep X for 10-15 seconds (maybe less). It will however sleep the pets nicely. Immediatly after Sleepga have the BLM use Sleep II on X while everyone beats down Y. The RDM can assist the BLM in sleeping X and keeping the pets asleep (use Sleep 1 on pets). This is where you use your 2 hours as Y is the strongest. The PLD should save Invicible in case things get out of hand. The sierdon holder should use a blackened sierdon on Y every 30 seconds to keep her auto meditate disabled. Once Y goes down beat down X and keep those sierdons on her ever 30 seconds.

While you can sleep the pets in the mission fight, you can not sleep the pets in this BC. If you did... well I guess you cheated.

Sleepga + elemental seal? thats cheating! Do it the REAL way like everyone else is supposed to, on your lvl 65 DRG Solo!!!

Is this the first rematch fight or the 2nd one? I did the first one and it was basically a cake walk. I've been told the next one that actually drops stuff is substantially harder (need letter from Y and not X to do the 2nd rematch one).

If anyone has this knife, do they know how much it increases your crit damage?
Tests show the dagger adds .3 to PDIF function, and increases max PDIF to 3.3, rather than 3.0. Rather good, especially since the dagger itself is very powerful now.
I've seen this dagger only once! and 4 starters lots of people dont know about this dagger even thiefs! I'm plain on getting it and see how well it stacks with skill chains and skill chain necklaces!!!

(meaning although it is still a good dagger, there were better daggers worth our time)

I think it's kinda odd that Bst can use this, with their C+ dagger skill, while jobs with B cap skill can't ^^;
BST is able to use it because Shikaree X is a BST/NIN. Voila.
i think that since it has Increases Critical Hit Damage, that your Sneak and Trick Attacks would be increased since thoughs are considered critical hits

The X's knife is a reward of the quest "Requium of Sin" that starts in Tavnazian Safehold. However I have no other information other than I know for a fact this is where you get it. Anyone with info on the quest itself please help ^^

I'm guessing this is a NM drop or a reward for a quest since it's rare/ex. Anyone know how to get this knife?

remove the latent effect from Heart Snatcher and sub this with it and you got urself a pretty decent combo for a thief. not sure about the main/off hand deal or anything but if they both worked at the same time it would be nice.
