SummaryYou have been asked to find and bring back a book pertaining to the Galka's darksteel formula. WalkthroughTalk to Raibaht in Bastok Metalworks. He's in the same room as Cid, on the second floor. He will send you to talk with Mighty Fist in the Dark Steel Forge (first room on the left as you enter the Metalworks). Then you have to go see Cochal-Monchal in the Windurst Optistery in Windurst Waters. Get a Yagudo Cherry from the auction house or a vendor. It is sold by either Ahyeekih (H-10 Windurst Waters), Fiva (G-6 San d'Oria Port) or Yafafa (I-5 Bastok Markets), but the they will only sell it if their nation is in control of the Kolshushu region. Go to H-14 in Giddeus and trade the cherry to the ???. Vaa Huja the Erudite will spawn. Note: might be a good idea to clear the other birds around the ??? before you do the turn in as they will link. After you kill Vaa Huja the Erudite, check the ??? again and receive the key item Dark Steel Formula. Go back to Bastok Metalworks and talk to Mighty Fist. He'll tell you to go to back to Raibaht. I talked to Raibaht and got the quest to find a book. He doesn't tell me where to find the book, so I just followed this guide to head to Windurst Library and talk to Cochal Monchal. Talking to Cochal Monchal doesn't trigger anything, although my lvl70 friend said he's suppose to tell me the name of the mob i'm suppose to kill and whatnot. But he doesn't. So I'm wondering if there's a step that's missing from activating the quest by talking to raibaht to -> Talking with Cochal Monchal.
My lvl70 friend said I was suppose to get some letter from Sid(i think he meant Raibaht). I dunno.
