Shrouded Isles Breastplate Update

Time to trade up on those SI dungeon Breastplate's:

After intense study, scholars in all three realms have managed to copy the magical alterations that were made to the Breastplates that drop out of the Shrouded Isles dungeons. Gain S'ondin in Caer Gothwaite, Navala in the Grove of Domnann, and Kynval in the city of Aegirhamn are now able to upgrade the original versions of these Breastplates into the new versions that have been discovered recently. Players on the Classic ruleset will receive the Breastplates that were discovered shortly after version 1.95, and players on all other rulesets will receive the updated Breastplates that became available in 1.96.

Monday Hot Fixes

A few hot fixes hit the live servers this afternoon:

- In an attempt to disguise themselves from their former allies, Seirim, Reseph, and Mavet have changed their appearances to something a little less conspicuous. The Doppelganger Soldiers in Darkness Falls have also taken on a new appearance. The locations of these monsters, however, have not changed.

- Fixed a display issue which was causing players using the Catacombs client to be unable to see the doppelgangers in Darkness Falls.

The Grab Bag

It's Grab Bag time over on the Camelot Herald, check out this weeks edition below!

Q. I noticed in the last major patch that blocking was capped at 60% in RvR. My problem isn't with the new block rate, but that there is now a misleading piece of information during the loading screens; the one that states "Block rate is capped at 75% in RVR..." I think for the sake of confusion, it should be altered to the current 60% value.

A. The Lady of the Jewels nodded her head in agreement: Our players are very observant. This loading screen tip will be updated in the next patch cycle. Thank you for spotting it!

Q. Nooooo! I missed the chance to get a Medal of Honor for one of my characters! When can I expect to see another chance to obtain this item?

A. With her voice going down a couple of octaves to mimic Queen Lilith, The Lady of the Jewels says: A new version of the Medal of Honor became available just this week. It is a reward for the quest The Demon Queen, given by your realm's scholar who resides just inside the Darkness Falls dungeon entrance.

Friday Hot Fixes

Just s few hot fix notes for the live servers today:

 - Asif Kilter, Higg Dunhoff, and Val Arn Anog, the Rarities Traders who wander the lands, have returned to the capital cities of their respective realms. They do not plan to stay through the winter, however, and will likely leave again once the invasion has ended so players who have need of their services for completing the quest The Heart of the Matter should go visit them when they have the chance.

 - Fixed an issue that was causing members of the Hero class to receive a version of their Dragonslayer armor with the incorrect quality.

 - The boat which carries players from the distant isle to the Halfheim dock in the Midgard tutorial zone will now place them in the correct location upon arrival.

Darkness Falls Bonus

Note to self, must pay a visit to DF!

One small note that we forgot to mention in yesterday’s Doppelganger Invasion update:

Darkness Falls on all servers currently has the following bonuses:

      150% bonus to Bounty Points
      125% bonus to Realm Points

Enjoy!

Embracing The Darkness

The doppelganger saga unravels even more:

With the arrival of a group of infernal creatures known as Daemonic Heralds, the scholars of the ancient ways now know that the Doppelganger Invasion is the work of Lilith, the Demon Queen of Darkness Falls. The scholars who have been studying the doppelgangers these past several months have now moved to Darkness Falls itself to oversee the final chapter in this dark conflict.

- The doppelgangers who have been masquerading in the frontiers have been wiped out and driven back into Darkness Falls. Only the strongest of them remain in those fiery depths and they now call themselves Doppelganger Soldiers. They can be found throughout the upper regions of Darkness Falls and they grant a greater amount of realm points then their weaker predecessors.

Notice About Classic Dragon Loot Items

Quick note for those who play on the classic servers:

There was an issue that may have caused players on the Classic ruleset to have received the ToA version of the dragon loot. To preserve the integrity of the Classic ruleset we are replacing all ToA dragon loot items that exist on the Classic ruleset with the Classic ruleset equivalent. These items will automatically switch out upon logging in. If you had one of these items equipped the correct version will be placed in your inventory. If your inventory is full, then the item will be created at your feet and a popup will inform you that your inventory is full. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you and thank you for understanding.

Falling Into Darkness

Darkness is coming :

While the world above my fiery domain occupied itself with the petty day to day activities of realm warfare, I have sat and pondered upon how I may make this once great dominion of demons grand once again. For months they have done battle with my foot soldiers, whom they have come to know as the doppelgangers. These tiresome games are no longer of interest me. I have now sent some of my more expendable yet loyal pawns out into the lands above to carry my warning to its pitiful inhabitants. These Daemonic Heralds shall deliver the first and only warning the realms of the mortals shall have. If they are wise they will listen to their words. Beware, for darkness will soon fall and the kingdoms of light will perish, and I, the Demon Queen, await you if you dare stand against it.

The Grab Bag

Time to grab the Grab Bag from the Camelot Herald ! Check out this weeks hot topics:

Q. I can’t seem to trade in my old Shrouded Isles chest piece. What gives?

A. The Lady of the Jewels knew this question was coming up this week and was prepared: This seems to have caused a lot of confusion. Back in July, we updated some of the drops in the Shrouded Isles epic dungeons. This update included the class specific breastplates which drop in those dungeons. The first updated versions of the breastplates, though fine for Classic servers, were still not up to par with the high end gear on Trials of Atlantis enabled servers. Because of this, we made Trials of Atlantis versions of the breastplates and recently put in a trade-in NPC to upgrade the breastplates players had already gotten. This trade-in NPC was intended to allow players who had run the three Shrouded Isles epic dungeons since July and gotten an updated breastplate to get the right version of the chest piece for their ruleset. It was not meant to allow players who had gotten the original version of these breastplates before July to upgrade them as well.

However, due to overwhelming player feedback we will be altering the trade-in NPCs to accept the old original breastplates as well and exchange them for ruleset appropriate updated chest pieces on both Trials of Atlantis and Classic servers. We only ask that players understand that these breastplates are a special case and we do not plan to offer trade-ins for the updated Shrouded Isles dungeon loot in the future.
