I see some regulars complain about 1-post critters winning and some 1-post critters arguing that just because they only have one post doesn't mean they aren't long-time lurkers.

Which is fine. You don't need to have a million posts to be a long-time Allakhazam member. That's not why people are bringing up post counts, though. Personally I couldn't care less if it's a long-time Allakhazam member who wins it or a 1-post critter. As long as that beta key is being used to contribute to the site. And that's where the post count comes into the picture.

High post count indicates that the poster is a regular, someone more prone to share the experiences in the beta. Low post count indicates a lurker or newbie, one less prone to contribute to the site and more prone to silently watch from the shadows.

Whether it's someone from another site or a long-time lurker from this site who wins it, if the key isn't used to contribute to the site, that person is contributing nothing and is useless to us.

So, to summarize, we don't care if you have one or a thousand posts. All we care about is that you share your beta experiences with the site that gave you the opportunity in the first place. If you're a long-time lurker, consider it your chance to join the community for real. If you're a newbie, welcome to the site and thank you for contributing.

I'm sad I didnt win this. I've gotten to sample some Cata material in a Sandbox, and it looks truly beautiful. I wish I could play live beta though. Well, Congrats to those who won, and hope you have a Great time with it!

Congrats to those people. I didn't apply because personally I have no interest in the beta - I'd rather wait til the full release and be surprised. I know some people like the sneak peak though and it certainly helps to produce a better game when those people put it through it's paces.

I didn't win, but I'm happy I won something from this site last year (2 month game card). Thanks for the opportunity. I'm not sure what's involved in beta anyways or if I have the time. But it wasn't an opportunity I could pass up.
