If anyone knows where to grab a backup of the US PC version of Aht Urhgan, throw me a PM.

No trollers please, obviously you need an uptodate content ID to use the data so go elsewhere.

I read on SE that they were giving war the ability to throw axes. Does anyone know if its an ability or an axe that u put in your ammo slot like shuikens <sp?>. Any info will be appreciated.

I'm betting it works alot like the axe weapon skill where you just chuck your main weapon at the enemy like a boomerang. I doubt it'll be a new ranged weapon, most likely a job ability like the monk's chi blast.

that was only one of many things they are "considering" implementing in an as yet undetermined future update.

Well, you can always find a local friend with a PC version and install it onto your computer. Because you will have a legit key from your PS2 copy, you'll be good to go.
Or you use a P2P program, download the ISO image of the disc, install and register with your legit key. That is what I had to do when my installation discs for FFXI were unreadable after I put in a new HD.
Oh yeah gotta love xpansions

SE had to do something to get the intrest back. I know soooo many people that have been leaving the game lately. I've even contemplated canceling the account. I'm close to being high enough to do some of the really fun stuff, but I'm not there yet. Starting over with a new job would just take that much longer before I'd get to see end game material. Oh well.. we shall see.

the thing I find most infuriating about the game is the large level gaps between interesting quests and missions. the only thing that could have made me drop FFXI is that after doing the rank 5 mission, I have to wait another 10-15 levels before attacking the rank 6 mission.

I'm REALLY keeping my fingers crossed that there will be at least a BIT of material for players who are between levels 30 and 40.
RE: well..

I think i read somewhere that the ToAU expansion was aimed primarily at keeping the level 75's busy and challenged...... that would leave the rest of us with nothing.... not even a cookie. I do hope that more level ranges can participate more in the upcoming expansion. Levels 30-40? lol, i think SE thought that unlocking advance jobs would keep us occupied. I remember a time where it wasn't uncommon for someone to be shouting for an ECO-Warrior challenge in towns... now that stuff is almost non-existant. Doing little things like Eco-warrior, garrison or ballista can actually spark up old flames, but I think everyone knows how discouraging it can be to sit in a town for 3+ hours shouting for help.

its a aim @ Blizzards classic Diablo online lol, none the less it will bring thegame more possabitys and fun to endgame, for those who arent endgamers, you will get there sooner or later, think out the endgamers who still now cant even get past 4-2CoP and you did....none the less endgame be more fun kthxbi

Yeah it is like the Diablo II's armor sets with bonuses for having the complete set. As i remember it, i only wore parts of my Nat's set because of the route i took my assassin. Wearing a partial set still gave partial bonuses. I wonder if it is incorporated into this.

ya because diablo was the first game ever to introduce identify and item sets......

well unless you count wizardry, and yet an even older game DnD, unless diablo was out before 1978.

diablo was the first RPG of its kind i dealt with. anything before that...is irrelevant to me. but if thats how it is then yes diablow wasnt the first but most people would recognize diablo before anything else...new gamers ateast

Just because you didn't know about it, doesn't mean it didn't exist.

By your logic, if this is the first time I have heard of a set bonus, that means I can say that SE created it, since I hadn't heard of it before...

Now thats some sound logic.

so i was at SE reading the info on new gear and here im thinking: if they are anything like the barone gear or the new gears they introduced, most of us wont even be able to equip them cause they are too damn expensive. if they are obtained via other means other than crafting, then they will be something to be excited about.

MNK50/WAR25

I for one can't wait to get a little
Hand-to-hands on with the new puppetmaster job.

Anyone know what the requirements are to take new ship from Muhara to the new areas?

I can't wait to get PUP!
RE: Ahh woot
# Apr 19 2006 at 3:44 AM Rating: Default
There are none. A LS member of mine was looking into it and when she/he tried to get on the ship, the game only said "You cannot access this area due to not having Treasures of {whatever the name of the expansion is} installed". This will come up even if you have it installed and try before the activation date, April 20th. Now she/he has her/his character logged out right infront of the NPC and will loging on the 20th at 12:01 AM Japan Time or whenever the activation is. lol

I guess I'd be a lot more excited if I had an inkling of what level range S-E was aiming at for players in the expansion. They DID say that the expansion was aimed at higher-level players... but how "high" is "higher-level"?

Are there going to be like 3 quests accessible to level 30 players, then 3 more you need a level 40 job, then the balance you really need to be level 60 and higher?

Are the new advanced job flag quests accessible to players with level 40 jobs? or will we need an armada of level 75 players to even open those quests?

I guess the above questions are why I'm not quite as "stoked" as a lot of people here are. I've been playing for nearly 2 years but I don't level fast - I've been crafting, doing quests, doing some levelling, opening new jobs, doing a bit of everything. I don't know, maybe there aren't many players like me who are trying to get a "complete" feel of this game by participating in every aspect (I've tried every craft, and now every job), and who isn't spending RL dollars on gil but rather farming and crafting to earn my in-game money.
RE: expansion levels
# Apr 15 2006 at 1:02 AM Rating: Default
I've been playing this game since june of 2004. I'm still not level 60 yet lol. However I try to participate in every part of the game. My problem is that I'm spending more time trying to make money than actually playing the game. Most of the quests I have require higher level or a group of high levels. So the only thing I'm doing now is leveling beast master and blm for the time being. I think blm will be the first job i hit 60 with. I'll be getting this expansion on the first. I hope it will be worth it. I'm looking forward to the chocobo breeding and racing.
Nice AF ^^

Holy crap. It sounds like the new great axe is going to rock with its ability to multi-attack.

And....even more interesting. It looks like they're doing "full armor set" bonuses with the new gear.

I really hope they go back and add the full set bonuses to things like, say, relic armor...

What's weird is that we were taling about set bonuses on my ls a day before they updated the site to show the equipment stuff, but we were talking about AF. It sounds like the mage set gives a refresh effect of some sort, but by the way it was worded it must be a pretty powerful one.
