Emotes (Rift)
Emotes are console commands which cause your character to act out or "emote" a feeling. There will be color text which appears in the chat box of those around your character, and many emotes have fun animations. Some emotes run until canceled by another action.
To use an emote, type / then the emote in your chat window. For example: /angry /beg /chicken
With Patch 1.2, you can now use social emotes, even with a partial name match, to display your emote at another player in target range regardless of whether you actually have that player targeted. (ex: /wave Joe to wave at Joebob, even if you have Mary targeted.)
