My Solid Wand at lvl 32 is better than this o.o;
Is there an NPC anywhere in the world that will hold all my garbage artifact weapons and if so where is he/she/it and what is he/she/its name? Also, if I just toss this will I need it again for something else since i have full Blm artifact armor? Thanks.

anyway i don't remember the name but i know wher he is, go to bastok markets he is near the bridge leading to bastok mines he will ask you what kind of equipment you would like to stor. scroll down to artifacts and put your wand there but hey its the crapiest wand in the world so why not throw it you won't need it at all and if you are a 40 SMN get himmel stock it has +63 MP it is a BCNM item I think one of the quests is flying fish?

If he is talking about 41BLM AF wand, he probably isn't a 40 SMN.
+20 Mp would be great for a galka hehe

Yes very good but +22 MP is better eh? And how 'bout dark magic +? If you think this is good check out Dusky Staff. I can't believe AF weps suck this much.
Quested this just today, 'twas a mess but we did it. SMN60 and PLD 70+ (if I remember the PLDs level right, he could solo the demons around..) Handled the fight itself with nps. If you got someone lv. 60 with you remember sneak invis when you come closer to the area of the ??? cause they aggro to that level. The demons killed us first, then the PLD came and raised and then helped us.
and BTW the ??? you're looking for is a bit more up the hill and not one of the gorges near the torch ???.

dont throw it out remember you need it to do other AF quests, even though it does suck

You don't need the wand in your inventory to do the other AF quests. I tossed mine as soon as I got it, and I've gotten all the other AF quests w/o problem.
You just have to have completed the quest in order to start the others.

Iwas really geeked to do this quest until i found out what it was. No INT+? C'mon, I mean, that is what a blm wants the most!! ><

Im going to be doing my AF soon - so I thought id have a look at what it was like. The rest of the AF is pretty cool, and I will use most of it - but this wand sucks.
Dusky staff is better for mp
Solid(Rose + 1) wand is better for INT

omg.... This item is just a tad pathetic. I'd rather get INT bonuses then just MP.... I guess I'll wait till a Dark/Ice Staff...

it sucks point blank,use dusky staff.what i don't understand is why would you have a better weapon at 40 than the af weapon.
SMN is the same. However, for WHM, I am still using my AF hammer in my MP macro.
I did this as 40 BLM I had a 62 BLM help and a 65 MNK and his wife's char to tele us (65WHM) I'm throwing it out im using dusky staff atm

Well this thing is a piece of crap. I am level 59 now and I have all my AF now up to level 58. This thing has been sitting in my MH since level 41. Is there any other use for it or should I just throw it out? I did the quest to unlock DRK and then threw out the "Chaosbringer" when I was done thinking I would never use it again. My cousin told me I was an idiot because you can trade it as part of a quest to get a weopon woth like 30k. I didnt look it up so I dont know what it was, but anyway, I don't want to make the same mistake twice. So if anyone knows any reason why I shouldnt chuck this thing, please let me know.
Ya this wand isnt worth using.Id rather use solid wand til level 51.Now I use Dark Staff and Ice Staff which are worth a total of 800k on Asura server but they are worth it.
I just got this, it's absolute trash. Nearly as bad as the RNG AF1.
To aspiring BLM wondering if to use this or not, as much as the game suggests it's use; don't. You do have to do this quest to get the rest of your AF, but I suggest using a Chestnut or Solid wand in it's stead.

Um, I'm very close to the level where I can get this...Is it even worth getting???

I advise you get it so you can get the other af equipment but dont use it, theirs much better then this.
um...yes, to get any of the other AF gear you have to get this one, so i'd recommend it :)
can level 70 thief solo the elemental ?
Umm u should have no problem as 70 thf but it is an element and thfs do hit elements to hard i know a lvl 50 blm can solo if he/she does it right. Hope this helps!

i did the quest tonight...wasnt hard really just takes time. i actually had lots of fun killing demons! my pt was BLM41/WHM20 (me) WHM44 BLM40 BLM 42 then i had some 50 ish friends help out. 52 DRK 56 PAL and a summoner...took a long time but that cause we were having too much fun ^_^ and yes this wand stinks...solid wand is much better!
Can i solo the "Chaos Elemental" as a lvl 42blm?

No, you will get destroyed...simple as that. I'd reccomend two lv 55 BLM or something close...

Yes, it's a horribe wand for BLM, but if you don't get it you won't be getting any OTHER BLM AF so i'd hope you would "risk your life" on a pathetic Chaos Elemental* to get it.
*I did my BLM AF1 as a RDM60, thus the biased opinion that the Chaos Elemental was pathetic ^^

I died 3 times.... NO, not by the Chaos Elemental!! By the stupid Demons that arounds it!!
all I want was kill 1 demon @ it time... but no.... so... I was fighting 4 demons @ the same time. doh!!

there are no stat boost's, this want sucks. MP+20 isn't even that much. I think ill stick with my Hard Wand.

I just got it, tried it on..don't plan on using this... it would be very useful with some + Int!
