WTF are blu using this to DD spell cast in over blu af? O.o
yea, i'm not seeing Hauby as being better than this.
+5def, +25evasion over Hauby, +5agi, +5subtle blow(yes please)...all for the cost of +5dex.
i think i'm getting one of these, i'm sick of the hauby, i'm kind of upset this isn't a new skin, they just re-labled it.

Ultimately I figure the decision of this versus Haubergeon really comes down to what you plan to be doing. If your wallet and inventory allow it, you may find it best carry both pieces and switch back and forth as needed. Like others have mentioned, if you are one of the jobs that can't use Hauby, this item really makes a difference.
My group saw 1 drop in 3 kills thus far, with TH3 assistance. Hopefully you see a higher drop rate than we did.
IIRC, our setup was something like:
Tank PT
PLD/nin
PLD/nin
PLD/nin
SCH/rdm
RDM/sch
BRD/whm
Bard did double haste on tanks, double ballad on mages. RDM did Phalanx II, Haste, Refresh. SCH did stoneskinga, aqua veil on everyone, regen II on tanks and was main heal. Extra charges he used for either cheaper or faster cures.
SATA PT
THF/sam
SAM/thf
SAM/thf
BLU/thf
WHM/sch
BRD/blm
Bard did Accuracy on all DD's, Attack on all DD's except BLU, Ballad II on everyone with MP, and Ballad I on the WHM and BRD. He used ele seal if elegy was resisted by Nuke PT BRD. WHM did standard hastes, regens, and cures. BLU did diamondhide and backup cured with magic fruit, and SATA(CA) cannonballs. THF did not melee for TP, relying on /sam and TP from the other SAMs. SAMs meleed for TP, giving excess to the THF with shikikoyo. SAMs made either light or dark SC with THF, as needed.

RDM/blm
BRD/blm
BLM/rdm
BLM/rdm

RDM refreshed and was main debuffer, relying on /blm if needed for Slow II. BLM's focused on keeping up DoT's while nuking, since stun is resisted. BRD gave double ballad and elegy. If he was resisted, he used ele seal. If ele seal wasn't up, melee bard used his.
I'm sure many other strategies would work besides ours. This one made the fight very easy. Good luck!

how is hauby better than this? other than +5 dex being replaced with +5 agi?
Hauby is still better for those jobs that can use it (other then soloing where evasion is actually helpful). But this is like a Hauby for those jobs that can't use it aka THF/BLU/NIN/COR/PUP. Also thats a typo on it, replace RDM with THF as RDM can NOT use any of the Enkidu set, but instead is on the Oracle set and can use Antares Harness.

Actually RDM can't use Oracle's Set either apparently. In fact, we can't use ANY of the new armor sets from the ZNM's. Not normally one to complain about this sort of thing but it seems VERY odd and rather unfair, considering every other job except RDM and SCH gets one of these 3 sets...and even more unfair considering that RDM is probably one of the best jobs for farming the soul plates in the first place but gets very few if any useful drops from ZNM's.

Does seem odd that a thf can't equip this as they are the main wearer of harness's.

hauby +1 will still #1 for WS swaps because its just a little bit better. Especially if this chest is any harder to get.
Granted I would love to have this on NIN for soloing. mighty sexy (pants too)
