i agree that it was rather odd to make this item comparable to what used to be "endgame" equip for a bard, but what i think they intended it for was mainly as an alternative to the overpriced signa for lvl cap areas/events... what i would like to see them add tho, assuming they wouldn't want to alter Kard, is to add a new 58+ BRD dagger with CHR+5 and singing skill +3 ^^ bit much to hope for i guess tho... ppl would complain it would make brd/nin too strong <.<;;; lol
Personally, I would have liked to see this Dagger have +4 CHR.
The Kard has +5 CHR and used to be the best Bard dagger. I suppose damagewise it still is, tied with Garuda's or maybe even Hornet's needle.
I just don't think it's fair this dagger has same CHR+ as Kard.

I always get a private chuckle out of seeing a Galkan Bard.

You first need to activate the Confessions of a Bellmaker quest in Riverne Site: A01. Before you get to Monarch linn you come to an island full of hippogrpyhs. Instead of going in the Displacement that leads to monarch linn, search for another on that island. You'll be on another Island with 1 Cloud Hippogryph, 1 Atomic Cluster, and a Stone Monument. Click on the Stone Monument for a CS. Then it gives you clues to go the the Goldsmithing Guild in Bastok and you talk to an NPC there for a CS. That NPC tells you to go to the Blacksmiths Guild in San d'Oria and you talk with an NPC there. Then you head back to the Stone Monument in Riverne Site: A01 and click on it for a CS. Then click on it again for a shadow NM to pop. You may want to clear the Island of the Hippogryph and the Cluster beforehand. VERY easy NM. A party of 7 I was with killed it very easily. After you kill it, click on the Monument again for a CS and then you receive the Minstrel's Dagger. Congratulations!

gimme this weapon right now b4 u get stabbed in the eye, it seems ffxi.sompage has mroe info than alla does on this item but still utterly and completetly incomplete, someone finsih the quest and share the wealth

If anyone can tell me how to get this i'd love them. It's obviously a bards weapon and i want it bad
no, this is better than Kard... this is 30lvls sooner, and has evasion+3 >_> makes me not want a kard and want this instead even as 67BRD XD
