Although this post is over a year after the first posted question concerning the Goldsmithing requirement on this synth, I would like to post this information in the hope that it helps someone out there.
First, to "cauldronborn":
According to cannotlinkto the recipe and level requirements for a Shade Harness is:
Also according to cannotlinkto the level cap on Velvet Cloth is 45 (at the lowest), and the requirement for Tiger Leather is 61.
I can say for certain that the Velvet Cloth recipe cap is correct, as I have personally leveled up on this synth, and I have several friends that have used the Tiger Leather synth to push their leathercraft to/past lvl 60. I can also say for certain that the caps listed on cannotlinkto for the Shade Harness recipe is correct, for I made a few of these when they first became available, and at the time my clothcraft and my leathercraft were not at these cap levels and I received several skillups during the crafting. This being said, although it is "safe" to assume that the required sub-craft level on a synth is equal to that of the level of its ingredients' main craft level, that is not always the case.
Secondly, to anyone looking for the actual level of Goldsmithing on this item, I'm afraid I can't say. However, this past weekend I synthed 3 Carapace Rings in a row, with no breaks, and no Goldsmithing skillups. My crafting levels at the time were: Bonecraft: 83 Goldsmithing: 17
So, if there actually IS a goldsmithing cap to this recipe, it's fairly low
Sorry for the long post, and I hope this is helpful!
you think you would have read enough posts to realise taht "goldsmithing (0)" means that they dont know what level goldsmith you need to be, but, since i am currently am a goldsmith and doing mythril ingots, i would say that you would probably be best off with a lvl 30+ goldsmith.
I made a couple of these for GP today and got a .1 goldsmithing off of one. I had no fails. My goldsmithing is at 8. So basically, this means that the GS subkill requirement is higher than 8, but not too much. Probably 10ish or a couple higher.
