Hey i wasnt banned for using bots but for continiously camping against Gil Farmers! We all know the only way to beat these ********* was to use some not so legal warp hack (same they used to have)... i used it and got caught, **** happens...gil sellers/farmers still remains... SE can kiss my butt!
FFXI was fun without them, i never used anything illegal before..and after 4 years it was time for a change anyway.
btw. http://wow.buffed.de/?c=1981499 WoW isnt that bad ^^ We got some Gold farmer here too...but i can just kill them :D (and i do a lot ^^)
If you have crit%+ applys to each hand independantly, but merit applies as well. So merit crit 4% + weapon 6% = +10% crit. But dex can push this up as well and each mob has a cap for crit resistance just like dmg is related to str and atk caps. For example war74/nin37 dual weilding on IT trolls parsed crit%/hr at about 13%, lved and equip Bhadaite (this broke the crit resistance cap of the trolls) and then parsed crit%/hr 32% Only thing i can tell ya is that trial and error works, use a parser and figure out your best set-up. Low delay on means more hits/time which translates into more chance for crits/effect to proc, but also feeds TP (so in effect haste+ increases your crit rate/hr cause hit more often in that hr than w/o haste+). Destroyers are crit6% each hand same as if you dual weild 2 of any the other crit+6% weapons.
Only closing the sc awards bonus points and must be on mob that con EP or higher To break the latent on any of these weapons: Solo WS = 1pt Lv1 sc = 2pt Lv2 sc = 3pt Lv3 sc = 5pt
Keep a tally or w/e you'll know when the latent is off hehe. Crit is your str vs mobs vit ignoring def and capped by weapon dmg rating, some crits have a chance of tripple base dmg effect.
GL have Fun poundin stuff
Sphero in the picture was a buddy from 3yrs back when we static partied, he was banned for using bots hehe.
You can't Cannonball >> Savage Blade SOLO to make light since Chain affinity consumes your TP. If you Self light by Savage Blade >> Cannonball, you get 1 point for the WS. Team up with a WAR/NIN and Mistral/Decimation >> Savage Blade to make a 5 point-light instead. Other wise, you're stuck spamming 500 1pt-WS's.
Dual Weilding this with Retributor, if they're both uncapped, would I recieve the effect from both?? I've heard that each critical weapon only affects itself. So hypothetically speaking, if I were to have both on, the Dissector would mean that it has a 6% higher chance to crit, and the Retributor has a 6% higher chance to crit, and NOT a +12% cumulative chance. Any truth to that as well?? Can anyone say with any certainty if 2 of these types (+6% crit weapons) can both be used to their potentials?? it's a lot of work to uncap 2 of them, so I wanna be sure they do before I begin. Thanks a lot.
It only affects itself. Dissector would have +6%, and retributor +6%, giving you an average crit percent increase taking into effect both hands of +6% (6% + 6% / 2 hands = 6% increase).
Obtain 500 Weapon Skill Points while Dissector is equipped in main hand.
Latent effect will afterwards be active even when weapon is equipped in off-hand.
Not all 500 points need be obtained in a single session. They may be obtained piecemeal over any period of time the player chooses.
For a solo Weapon Skill or opening any level Skillchain, you get 1 point. For closing a Level 1 Skillchain, you get 2 points. For closing a Level 2 Skillchain, you get 3 points. For closing a Level 3 Skillchain, you get 5 points.

Wrong. The 6% from the Kindred Battle weapons is applied to whichever hand you have them in. Hence why so many Ninja mainhand Senjuinrikio instead of Fudo, despite it being one damage lower.
Man... I keep hearing that with the Crit Latent weapons you only get 1 WS point per SC... Tell me this isnt true..... im about 90/500 anyway but DAMN solo WS sux Yagudo ***....
I think we all found out what happened to Auron now. SE knocked him out and hid him in a broom closet and shrunk his swords to give to us. If you have this sword, and Auron wakes up soon, he will ownzor joo with Shooting Star, and take his tiny sword back.
well i got this baby a few weeks ago doing double dragonian, sword is absolutely great, once the latent effect is on (took me about 3 days to unlock it which i think is pretty fast for 500 points of WS) the critical hits greatly increased, this and joyeuse on my rdm/nin hands are absolutely insane on the quick damage and sword skills you get. Would like to thank Ryi (75BRD) for giving this sword up to me. Thank you babe, Really appreciate it. One more thing, if you want to hasten the latent effect and can't do light or dark, try getting a 3 man party in which you end the first skillchain that ends with a level 2 and then start the second skillchain that ends with light or dark (lv 3 sc). That way you could be earning 6 points for each skillchain you make. :P hope this helps!
Maybe I'm not understanding what you are meaning when you say that "Your attack has nothing to do with the dmg a critical hit does," but from my experience this is false. I was playing around with my Hellfire +1 in an exp party the other day (was using a x-bow) to make the nin really work for his exp, and with double minuet and attack food regular hits were for 230-250 with a high crit for the night being 308. I can guarantee that my crits with sushi and no minuets don't hit for 308.
To permanently unlock the latent effect you must obtain 500WS sword points with this weapon in your main hand. Changing Swords before completing the 500 points will not restart the count.
All points are obtained through fighting Easy Prey or harder monsters.
You get 1 point for a solo sword ws. You get 2 points for closing a lvl 1 skill chain. You get 3 points for closing a lvl 2 skill chain. You get 5 points for closing a lvl 3 skill chain.
So for example, if you as a job capable of getting 240 sword skill had access to Savage Blade(Quested Weapon Skill), you could close 100 Light Skill Chains(LV3) and be done. (Hexa Strike[Club] >> Savage Blade[sword] or Tachi:Kasha[GKatana] >> Savage Blade[Sword] come to mind for making Light). Pld are lucky and have access to Swift Blade (automatically obtained at the appropriate sword skill) which can make LV3 chains as well.
100 LV3 Skill Chains are easily achieved, granted the appropriate jobs are there to chain with you, in one sitting of less than 4 hours in a "Skill Up" party.
The only way of knowing if you have unlocked this weapon is if you were counting your points for every chain, or you are able to notice a large difference in your dmg. There is no point counter you can menu to and see that will tell you how many points you have to go.
I'm almost positive you can sell this sword to NPC only. Other than that the sword is Rare/EX and as such you may only have one and it can not be traded or sold to another playable character.
suppose i break the latent on this sword. if i off-hand this sword, is the crit+ still active or does it have to be main handed? reason why im asking because this would be easier to get rather than the joyeuse sword, this would be a nice off-hand sword and a company sword as my main in TP burns.
i spam vorpal blades and im about to max merit crit+, so the added crit+ from the dissector would really help out my vorpal blades.
not only does this sword look completely badass, but does it remind anyone of one of Auron's swords from FFX? Another random thought, how cool would it be if there was a NIN with two of these? OK, I'll stop with the n00bish comments seeing as I'm only lvl 22 THF... Ahhh but I can dream can't I?
