This is an improvement over Brass Xiphos because it is made of Iron.
from what i have read, and observed in my crafting experience.
sub crafts need to be at 1/2 the lvl of main craft.
so in this case would require bonecraft of 14.
and if you are under 14 bone you may get alot of breaks and/or skill ups

I have smithing lvl 23 and made 9 of these to lvl up smithing with advanced smithing synth support. I got 0.7 up smithing and 1.2 up bonecraft from lvl 5 to 6. I had only 3 breaks, one critical, so over all I had a pretty good success rate. I'd wager the bonecraft cap isn't much higher than 10

I think this is a pretty decent weapon for a red mage at this level. On our server, (Hades), it's only around 10k as of three days. /tell me some time Ethereal. Maybe we can continue our discussion.
