Whatever opinion one has of the merits of the Medieval's +2 vitality, the merits do not end at defense. Included in the calculation of magic damage (feel free to expound upon and clarify which magic falls outside of this categorization) is the forumula: Magic Damage Stat / Vitality of the Target.

It goes for about 20k in Jeuno's AH on Asura right now (8-15-04).
