First time I tried to synth this item I failed, losing all items. I tried again, directly after and got the +1 version. ^^
and more importantly those leechers cannot cast cure III

Is there more to this item? The shinobi-gatana has the same damage, and less delay. Considering it is one of the ingredients, what's the point of this weapon?

I seem to recall it had the added effect of silence.
Silence is great for mobs that cast spells i.e. Goblin Leecher would no longer be able to cast spells such as Blink.
