Beware, this item does not seem to drop from the Dark Stalkers upstairs, kill the ones near the Hume Bones in the basement. (You get there by dropping down the center hole in Eldieme).

I'm usually incredibly lucky as BST/THF with stuff like coffer keys, LB1 items and such. Today I helped a WHM get hers and it took close to 5 hours.

5 (hours) x 4 (mobs) x 4 (times per hour) = 80.

Now that's a pretty crappy drop rate right there. Thanks, Square Enix!

Ok people This is true story from odin server ive been on for almost 6 hours straight killing stalkers and not one drop. i cant even recall how many stalkers we have ******** gone through!!! 75sam/37thf this is no joke for pepole that get this drop lucky you i have no idea when im gonna come across one but for people trying to get their AF GOOD ******** LUCK!!

Just got bell tonight for my gf! Went as 60 war/nin, 60 whm/blm, and our friend 75 rdm/nin. Got it on our 5th Dark Stalker. I think it helped a lot that it was Full Moon 93%. Hopefully we can get a pt together and be able to kill nm, so we don't have to get another bell lol.

well sence u got the bell today i guess i didnt need to come >< lol

because we lost the NM fight i had to get this two times..

The first time i got it, it dropped on like the 6th Stalker..

The second time it took about an hour to get and we had two people needing the bell, and the second bell took about 2 hours after mine >.> it was fun though

The best place to find the stalkers is to go through the gate at G-8 and drop down through the hole.. there 4-6 spawns in there.. and a nice earth elemental to fight with while you wait for re-pops lol

Killed about 10 Dark Stalkers last night and got two bells.

The drop rate on this bell is approximately 2%. It sucks. I can't honestly say how much luck you'll have obtaining it, because I've seen it drop four times: two out of the four times we were camping Dark Stalkers in the Hume Bones room and it took about 2.5 hours to drop for each one. Not fun at all. The other two times we were not there for Dark Stalkers, but for Tomb Warriors, Tomb Mages, and Spriggans for both coffer keys and skill ups...we killed TWO dark stalkers for fun...during the second fight, I said, "Hey, wouldn't it be funny if the bell dropped?" to the party. It did. I was shocked. This game's full of ironies, I tell you!

Because undead aggro to low HP, and also because Earth Elementals spawn in that room (quite often in fact, although after level 63-64 they won't aggro), it helps to bring as many people as you can when hunting the bell. In the Hume Bones room, there are four Dark Stalker pops, two in the north room, and two in the south room (each room also are potential Treasure Coffer spawn points). They spawn about every 15 minutes. Bring people who need coffer keys, and have at least one person level 70 or above to pull the coffer mobs through the room to the east to the Hume Bones room while waiting for Dark Stalkers to repop. Chances are you'll get many coffer keys before the bell drops once (last time we got five before the first bell dropped). Additionally, if you have a weapon in the low to mid 100s range (like 110-165) bring it and skill it up on the mobs in there.

For the coffer mobs, if you can help it, avoid pulling Haunts. Haunts drop the key, but they're a royal pain in the *** to deal with with all of the negative effects they cast on you. Spriggans aren't as bad as people think...they just tend to be a little bit higher level than the rest of the mobs. One great thing about Spriggans, definitely unlike Dark Stalkers, is that they don't (if they do, rarely) cast Dimensional Death (a move Dark Stalkers spam a lot). Remember to keep your white mage on the ball when encountering the Dark Stalkers since they can take health down into the yellow in seconds with their Dimensional Death.

Anyway, have fun. Just remember to try to come here and be productive with other things like coffer keys and skill ups, because chances are you'll be there for a long time if you're looking for the bell (unless it's 100% full moon and you have a thief with treasure hunter).

Thanks for the information, Yahavage. The human bones camp is where I camped to get the bell, also. There are only 4 Dark Stalker pops there, and the respawn is like 16 minutes. It took me 4 trips to finally get my bell. During that time, I saw 5 coffer keys drop from killing other mobs while waiting for Dark Stalkers to respawn.

I would estimate that I killed about 60 Dark Stalkers total, before I got the drop.

In Eldieme right now, just felt like complaing becuase the drop rate is bad. 4 hours no bell, 1 key. doh )=

I was wondering, is this item really droped off shades or is that just a mistake? I would appriciate if anyone has seen the drop or has proved this infomation to be incorrect.
