Probably because user is a cook. These were given out for valentines day to random users and for most of us we got crystals the have no immediate useful function. Food can be signed but now we can assume drinks cannot. The HQ crystals is suppose to function as a normal crystal with ability to sign the item(if the item is unstackable) Drinks being a item that can be cooked and cannot be stacked they would presumably be signed. I got an HQ Ice crystal still in my mog house what do you purpose this cook make with it? I also have HQ wind and fire on mules who have no skillz at all v.v Granted if you had purchased one of these with guild points to make a drink some may ...well lets not go there... Also I see cooks with signed food quite a bit, which I dont fully understand like jack'o lanterns I would like to see A more specific list of signable items rather than

post was informative to cooks, please try not to rant on someone without fully understanding where they may be coming from. Thinking outside the box is a good thing.
OK a few things on this. 1. It wasn't such a bad idea on SE's part
2. IT was DUMB to give twilight crystal. - DID a lot of research on this and found when reading the detail about the event it specifically states that they will send you one of four crystals listen in the above examples. LIESSSSSSSSSS the examples they give you are good if you have someone to give the signed ring to or whatever. That would have been great me and my GF would have made like lvl 1 ring signed by each other but instead of the 4 crystals they give u examples for the give you twilight or somehting else unuable. everything you can use dark for is 15+ usualy around lvl 20 crafting skills and on top of that they usually are not items your loved one could wear. LOL o well.
Main point is they lied in the first place. Woul have been a great idea if they stuck to what they prob planned in teh details of the event. I.E. "you will recieve one of the 4 crystals listed in the above examples."
This item arrived in my MH inbox from the sender "MHMU" and since no chars can have all caps in their names, it has to be some sort of in game sender. Just thought I'd let people know of this oddity. I didn't perform any actions that I know of that would warrent this delivery.
I found one in my delivery box after leaving the game over Easter. I assumed I'd missed some event and everyone got one...it's a bummer I can't seem to use it in weaving yet.
