Saw him while running around as 73drg/whm. Decided to give it a shot. He killed me the first time after I got him to about 30% because he got in a lucky critical hit for over 200 then did Magnetite Cloud for over 300 right after I hit red and before healing breath went off. I had reraise on so I got back up and rested until weakness went away. I rebuffed and went straight back at him and eventually took him down. He's not that hard at as 73drg/whm but it takes a while due to his high amount of HP and high defense. Just watch your HP and make sure your spells don't get interrupted. No drop but I did get 3k gil and some exp.
KK, so I went and tried this guy out the other night. I being a 68 DRG/WHM thought what the hell, I'll give it a shot.
I started off with over 100 TP so that I could WS as soon as I got next to him. I could tell it wasn't going to go well when I WS'd and my Penta only did 600 damage to him, and that didn't even dent his health bar. That was almost half of what my usual Pentas do to a Princeps, so this guys defense is alot higher then any Princeps. And that's about as high as my Pentas got as well.
This guy was hitting me for 100-180 per hit. And he was connecting alot, I think he only missed 3-4 times the whole fight.
I got him down to a little under 50% health before I got killed. I ran out of MP, and my 2 hour didn't help with him. If I had a few Yag Drinks with a few hi pots, I could have made it through this fight. As the only reason I died was due to lack of MP. I used nearly all of my MP on HB III's, so basically @ 68 my Wyvern healed me a total of 2900 HP out of 90 something MP. As I used Regen to start off the fight and used a Divine Seal + Cure 3 on myself. And starting off with 1137 HP with this guy isn't sh*t to him @ 68.
I didn't try any enfeebles as I was just trying to stay alive using my Dia as a HB III trigger constantly.
But he does allow enough time to cast whatever is needed. So Blink, Utse, whatever you'll have enough time inbetween his swings to cast whatever you need to.

so while camping for shaman's cloak I kill the ph for this guy between signifer pops and while not paying much attention I pull what I thought was the ph and start fighting (73nin/whm at the time) and im whittling away his hp and start thinking, wow this ph sure is taking a while to kill, and he seems to be a little more accurate than normal. I check his name, antican praefectucs, ok this is a normal guy right? wtf? then I think.. oh wait its the NM! lol. I was panicing because I thought I was going to mis the repop of the signifer or possibly that NM (which I really cared about) only took a few minutes to get this guy, even after he got 2 Cure IVs off -_- but I was hitting him pretty hard so it wasnt too bad and I was able to interupt his next one and paralyze took care of his 4th attempt. When he went invincible I just spun the wheel and he went down. all he dropped was ore and a pauldron :( And I made it back in time for signifer, which one kill later popper centurio X-II sadly he didnt drop the cloak either :( (and he was much harder than this NM)

KK, it's Centurio X-I. And Centurio is vastly easier than this guy.
Being a 68 DRG/WHM, I roll over Centurio X-I without even thinking about it. This guy has actually defense unlike Centurio X-I. You are full of it when you say that this guy was easier than Centurio. >.>

qft. Solo'd both today as a SAM75 (sub WAR) out of boredom, and came across this NM first. It was a long fight and a lot closer than I would have thought from a lvl 65 NM especially since he hits a heck of a lot harder than any other PLD I've ever seen (averages between 100-130 a shot) but, thankfully, his accuracy was terrible and he attacked rather slowly. Finished the fight with 530/1444 HP and no drop >.>
Centurio X-I, on the other hand, only made me sweat when he began casting Freeze but a quick Tachi: Gekko put the kibosh on that. Solo'd him with 1215/1444 remaining.
Just soloed this guy as a 75 mnk/nin. Was actually surprised at how hard he hit me, I was getting smacked for 100-130 dmg a shot,but he missed quite often, had no trouble casting Ichi if Ni wasn't up. Still, it took a little while to wear him down, even with a Couerl Sub and maxed h2h merits, that PLD defense is just that good. NO Save the Queen, but I did get a Robe and a Mythril Ore from him, as well as 45 Exp and 3000 gil.

Either there's a glitch, or it doesn't give the title anymore. Just killed it, and my title didn't change at all.
Fairly easy solo as a 75 BST/WHM. I fed CourierCarrie twice, but the second was probably a waste. He only hit CC for 25-30 with Scissor Guard up. CC hit him for 100-120 apiece. I soloed a link while CC beat on him, thankfully nobody was around to steal it when he turned yellow.

Killed him today while camping Centurio X-I. No drop, but an easy fight (I'm THF75/NIN37, and my friend with me was SAM70/THF35). About the only time I lost shadows was when he cast spells on me...that weren't interrupted. No drop, though.
Edit: Confirmed that you receive no title from killing him. I walked in a Total Loser, and I walked out a Total Loser.

Anyone know how often he pops
Soloed this thing the other day as a 71 MNK. It used invincible really early in the fight, at about 80%+ HP remaining which surprised me a bit. It hit me for about 50-80 dmg, used the standard spells as Princeps do such as protect, shell, flash, and banish. It's a fairly strong enemy mainly because of the job pld.
I'm guessing you should bring 2 65+ jobs to beat it, but this seems like one of those NMs you never expect to fight, you just stumble upon and take a chance at it like I did, lol!

Solo'd this big guy as brd/nin at 75 with an add the whole time =\ He's not that hard just uses cure4 a lot near the end. Doesn't resist Lullaby, Elegy, or Finale. Bring Echo Drops.

wtf....i camped here for 4 hrs killing all ants and never saw this dude...whats his pop time???

Hmm, killed this today as 68 RDM/BLM with a 70 RDM/WHM friend and we got no title from killing it. Also got no sword to show for it, but you do get 6000g split amongst your party members upon his death.
According to this site the title shown on here is for spending CP if you're a Bastoker.

Ran across him , while looking for a coffer. He raped me, He resisted my sleep on first try :( , that was all I wrote.
just duo'd it with lv68 THF/NIN and lv64 WHM/BLM. fun fight. it took 15 minutes to kill it. only i was meleeing it because we couldn't afford to have the whm silenced.
my dagger swings were doing around 15 damage a hit. his sword swings were doing around 150 a hit.
the WHM didn't have capped enfeeble but was able to stick silence every single time he casted it. the only problem was that silence wore after 5 seconds. same thing with paralyze. slow stuck nicely, though.
when it got down to the end, i basically used dancing edge as a 'stun' so it couldn't cast cure IV on itself.
yeah.. we got a mythril ore for our efforts.

We took this NM out after recently defeating Centurio X-I for the LS Leader (Speck and his shiny new cloak - congratz). Once we killed Centurio and got the drop I suggested going and trying our hand at this guy, and I knew he wasn't going to be a pushover at our level. Party setup was 60NIN(me), 61RDM, 56RDM, 56RDM, 55PLD, 60BLM. This fight was tougher then Centurio due to the incredible amount of DEF he has, and the fact that he used Invincible 1/3 into the fight. It took approximately 5 mins to drop him. Very exciting fight, unfortunately no STQ. Have the fight recorded, and hopefully have it encoded and ready for viewing soon. we killed it twice last night. STQ dropped on the second kill
Killed it this morning with a group of 3 65s (DRK, BLM, PLD[myself]). It wasn't a hard fight in any sense, but it wasn't a pushover. We'd been killing anticans for about 2 hours allready and were 1-shottig most everything with Swift Blade > SATA Cross Reaper (doing well over 2k total most of the time) and we decided to set up the fight with that. I kinda wanted to use cover at some point, seeing as how I was fighting a mob in order to improve the cover skill (made sense) so the fight went as such:
Build up 300% TP for both the DRK and I without using any mana. The BLM heals us when we're done then rests all his mana. Pull the NM, have the DRK use a few of the normal absorb spells, the BLM elemental debuff a few times, then get rocking.
Open up with Swift Blade then a Last Resort/Soul Eater/SA/TA/Cross Reaper > Darkness, and then burst. We ended up railing him for about half of his health with that one skillchain and obviously the DRK really really really pissed it off. Flash, run over, cover, invincible (at this time he invincibled also so we had a nice stalemate going) I voke, heal, flash, do whatever I can to pull hate back off the DRK (Invincible didn't cut it).
We basically then just held out until we had 100% TP again and then did the same skillchain, the BLM 2-houred and started spamming Blizzard 3 and Waterga 3 and it dropped in about 2 minutes of total fighting.
Overall we spent about 2 hours inside camping. No sword dropped.

well, the pt I was in decided to camp where this thing popped, and we were rocking so we decided to take it on. Mind you, we were all lv 50s. It clobbered us. Our thf pulled it away from us and died in the process. As it turns out, two other members of our pt had lv 75 rdms. So after a quick trip to rabao, they returned and wiped the floor with him. no drop though

Killed this mob the Other day, Seemed a real easy fight. Had myself 75pld, a whm 73, and a 67rdm. I believe a 75 could solo this in a decent fight.
