Considering what you know about going places you can see but cant reach that are accessable, just have someone go to the past with Raise and Tractor jobs and exit the Maw at K-9 in Sauromugue Champaign. 2nd, die just below the Maw by the cliff you cant climb. 3rd, have helper Tractor you up. 4th, Raise, rest and enter. works a hell of a lot better than all that gate malarkey. Didnt need much luck, just common knowledge.^^

Here is a little bit of a protip for those of you about to begin the WoTG missions by traversing through one of these maws: If you end up in Sauromugue Campaign after the cut scene, do yourself a big favor and access any of the other maws in the past. If you don't, and you home point for whatever reason, the only way you will be able to get back to the past is by getting to the maw in Sauromugue Campaign, which is only accessible by going through those stupid *** gates in The Garlaige Citadel. That means three people will more than likely have to go out of their way to help you out. Good luck.

Recently I tried to do the dancer quest, I went through the maw and ended up dying going to jungar forest (S) from a higher lvl tiger that I aggroed, and I get HP'd back to the present, I go
back to the maw but it won't send me to the past, simple says "nothing happens...". How am I suppose to finish dancer quest or get back into the maw.

Hello i recently installed WoG expansion, and i was at Battalia Downs and i entered the CM after the CS i was at Sauromugue Champaign and i warp to hp now i cant enter throug CM in Battalia's and Sauromugue Champaign Fields. I have to re-enter to CM in Sauromugue Champaign by passing throug Gairlage Citadele i guess??? what else i have to do in order to unlock this CM???

ehh...ok I'm still kinda iffy on this maw thing o.O'' I need to unlock North Gustaberg's maw, and Rolanberry is my home maw. So I just go to the past and run from rolanberry all the way to north gustaberg?

Wow I guess I lucked out.. I went thru the Maw in Battalia Downs and ended up in the Maw in Battalia Dows [S]. Oh yeah going through Garlaige Citadel [S] and unlocking the Maw to Sauromugue Champaign puts you right up on the ledge you need past the Banishing gates so this is an excellent and easy way to get to the Stone Monument as well so don't forget your selbina clay! :)
If Sauromugue Champaign (S) is your home maw, I strongly suggest unlocking the maws in Rolanberry Fields or Battalia Downs before doing anything else. This is because the maw is difficult to access in the present due to the banishing gates in Garliage Citadel. I had to wait hours for four ls mates to come help me get through the gates. Needless to say it was pretty frustrating. Rolanberry and Battalia maws are far easier to get to. You'll want to do yourself a favor by unlocking these maws as soon as you can.
Cavernous Maw (CM) are basically the same as the Runic Portals. You must walk to one in past and use it for it to be available for use in the present.
note: the CM in Sauromugue Champaign [S] is easy to get as no mobs are in the path from the entrance and the exit. It also allows to appear in the present on the ledge past Banishing Gate 3, so this is great for coffer hunters and campers of NM Roc.

Well we figured it out >.< . apparently he didnt go to the one in Sauramonge Champain. He said he went through the one in Rollanberry Fields, but didnt remember where he came out at. so i got some help from another friend (blm).
So my wife, friend (blm), and i went through the past to Garlage Citidal. while the friend with the problem (NIN) met us by the maw on the lower lvl. we in the past go through Garlage and come out the back door and go through maw to get to Present where NIN is waiting.
NIN used NIN 2HR ability. BLM uses Tractor to get NIN up the cliff, RDM Raises NIN. NIN goes through maw >.< . Apparenty nin didn't remember where he came through.

Ok, so im posting this on behalf of a friend of mine. We were trying to get through a maw (bat. Downs). Then it hit him "Nothing Happens". so we try the one in Rollanbery (spelling :/ ) again nothing. same in Saumonge Chamain (again spelling :/ ) so i ask the usual "did you install/register" bla, bla. he says yes and hes been in once before. and even has "Pure White Feather" Perm. Key item. He also says the first time he was in there that he died and never made it back through himself... so if he didn't unlock any maws and Home point when he died. how does he get back in? Pleas help! Thanks!
Here's the deal with the traversing Cavernous Maws. For your first time to the past you may enter any one of the maws in following areas: Batallia Downs; Rolanberry Fields; Sauromugue Champaign. At any time in the past you can exit through any maw you come across. Now here's the tricky part. In the present, with the exception of your first trip, you can only travel through maws which you have exited through in the past. So to enter the one in Sauromugue Champaign you must first use the one in Sauromugue Champaign [S].
He has to re-enter teh Maw that he was near when he woke up from the CS. This happened to me as well.

this didn't help... my friend had the same problem as DavidMarcus' friend...He has tried all 3 maw's and can't re-enter. now if somone has found a way to re-enter or reset the begining of events please post it.
He will eat you up and spit you back to the past or present depending on which time zone your in.
