Easy fight just long....have melee attack away while hes in his shell (he stayed in his shell 80% of our fight), when he begins to cast run away (make sure melee run in different directions in case its aga III or IV), then right back at it again. Black mages cast Tier 3 and 4 nukes on him while in the shell. When he pops out have the nin or thf kite him around the little rock located South West of his pop area. Continue to cast and do damage while he is being kited as it hurts him more. He is weak to Sidewinder but ranger had better turn and run fast xD....I stayed at max (24.9) range to allow time to run due to his fast cast ability letting him get off Aga III and IV in 5 seconds....his cast range appears to be a whopping 40.0 Yalms/Yards/Whatever.
I used cheap arrows too, because type of arrow did not affect damage, it was always 10-15 while in his shell, 100-150 out of the shell (or in the shell with Arching Arrow or Sidewinder), and up to 2,000 with food, Velocity Shot, and decent gear while he was being kited.
Side Notes: He loved Quake II, Stonega III and IV, and Waterga III and IV....he does a shadow wiping move (Stomp something) and hate appeared to reset after the Stomp move. Rng/Sam was very helpful with damage, when he comes out of his shell pop Seigan/Third Eye followed by Sekkanoki, and let two Sidewinders fly, both hits landing on average for 18% of his hp.
