Historical InformationIn Greek mythology, Enceladus ("Trumpeter to Arms") was one of the Gigantes, the enormous children of Gaia (Earth) fertilized by the blood of castrated Uranus. During the battle between the Gigantes and the Olympian gods, Enceladus was disabled by a spear thrown by the goddess Athena. He was buried on the island of Sicily, under Mount Etna. The volcanic fires of Etna were said to be the breath of Enceladus, and its tremors to be caused by him rolling his injured side beneath the mountain. In Greece, an earthquake is still often called a "strike of Enceladus".

Just killed this guy today as a 47 pld.It was a good fight had to 2 hour at the end just wish he'd dropped his bracelets lol. like people on here said leave his bat alone cos he will charm you, but once he uses familiar u can kill it then no problem atleast there was'nt for me

I just realized something theres not 2 bonecutters except for the one in the hallway (irrelivant) theres only one and it pops in one then the other back n forth every 5 game hours exactly and about 1nce an hour enky will pop instead im PLD75/THF15 on Odin if im incorrect tell me kk im 1/2 ^^

lol bracelets worth 50k on Odin.... but i make about 100k every tim ei get a bracelet cause of killin all gigas on this side of the door Gilfinder ^^

Killed him as a 75 Thief / 37 Dancer, while weakened (from failing to pick the chest), and aggroing the 3 other mobs in the room. TH3 equipped but sadly no drop :( just a Mahogany Shield.

Man I got ticked when i got drop after 5 kills and saw that it was going between30-40k on my server, but Ogy's was going for 90K!!

Hey All Ive been campin enky a lil bit as a 73pld. i farm the pots, gigas and elementals on his floor for a easy 50k. and when he pops i try to get him, anyways i was up there farmin and seen him and attacked. as soon as i get a few hits on him he 2hr+charm and i freakin get charmed by him i was like omfg he charmed me over ls chat. ls members was like lol hope some 1 comes in and u own they butt. so im charmed like 5min past im like how long charm last then a rdm comes in and attacks enky. and i get sent after him i pull my sword out and hit rdm like 3-5 times bout 4 of them did 20-60dam, to rdm and got a crit on him for 130dam. and at that point i become uncharmed and rdm gets kill.

I've camped Enky for almost a year and before the recent deflation his bracelets were 3mil on Caitsith... they are now 50k sadly. I solo'd Enky as a 60thf idk what lvl he is.
Has only one PH and its the bone cutter that spawns in either of his two rooms. Garenteed either him or the BC WILL spawn every 5vana hrs or about 12 rl mins. kill the BC and when his name dissapears use /echo to write the ToD and wait for the next spawn :) or check on Ogygos one flight down. Enky trades rooms everytime he spawns so if he is in one the next spawn he WILL be in the other... so best to camp the one he wasn't just in. The PH however can be in either room so don't miss the ToD. He is a bst... I've been charmed and killed ppl fighting him... I've been killed by ppl charmed by him... can use anti-charm gear but doesn't really help. Honestly I've killed him 200+ times and been charmed like 5 so not likely but possible. If there are no other campers just wait till he calls his bats and he can't charm you. I like to have my daggers out so when he starts to call them I turn around and interupt him... he then can't call them and cant charm you lol stuck in some casting lingo for the whole fight its great.
Drop rate suxs don't expect much have TH3 and got it like 20times in over a year. If multiple campers take something to claim fast, don't use a macro have it ready in your drop down menu its much faster and reliable.
And no the BC's in the hall don't change the order of wich room he appears in, no clearing the whole floor doesn't make him spawn faster, no he isn't linked to Porphyrion.

What level would you say this thing is? I was thinking about camping this thing as a level 48 monk. Am I crazy?

Well I solo'd the guy as a lvl 54 Drg/Thf. I was at about 650/980 hp when i started the fight and ended it with 300+ hp. I didnt use my 2hr or anything. Penta Thrust x2 FTW though. I think if you bust your 2hr on him he will be toast. Good luck man
No chance, 1 idk if u would be able to even kill enky. 2 He uses Charm you'll become his lil Pet and some one will then Steal him from you while your charmed.

Just bonecutters that are placeholders for this NM?
Here's my little experience with Enki.
My best friend and I have been camping this NM for the last few days for his war. He camped the first day as 61 PLD/THF without me and got 8 claims within 10 hours but 0/8 on the hands. The second day I came along 62 THF/NIN but we only got 2 claims cause he fell asleep; also no drop. Today we've camped for about 15 hours or so... and got about 10 more claims on him. claim # 9 we decided not to use WSs on the NM to see if anything changed. no dice.
Claim # 10 however we decided to SC.. SA Dancing edge to Vorpal Blade doing Scission for a combined total of 1400+ damage! take a guess what happened when Enk died. it's been about 1 hour and 45 minutes since last spawn now, I'm just checking to see if the 1k+ WS thing works again... could have been coincidence. 1/20 on Enk and on the one we did an SC of 1000+ he drops. hmmm..... will edit this once I get more info..

Weaponskill have nothing to do with drop on any mob. i just spent a day in the towers by myself as 67thf and 3/3 on enky and 2/4 on ogy. Rumors... stop listening to them guys.

well the other day i decided to camp this as 40 ninja/ blm( to make spells stronger) so i would just go back and forth between rooms to kill PH using tonko ni. gigas there r ep-dec so i didnt want to much aggro, after about 1h 1/2 he pops in the room i was at i pulled it to the hall eway by the demonic doll and lucky enough no other gigas in the room linked. I started fighting him and all my defeebles sticked( jubaku hojo and kurami which took 2 casts to stick). I started fighting him and all i really needed to cast was ni, i barely ever used ichi. He was going down alot faster then i expected and my ninjutsu did about 120ish each cast. He was at 1/3 hp when he used charm and it landed. He went back into the room with his other giga friends and i just stood there and couldnt do anything >< finally i uncharmed claimed him and went back into the hallway by the demonic doll. he was at full health again :( so i had to infeeble him and nuke him again. The fight was super easy, i have over +50 eva using food and i used a couple of int gear for my spell dd. The only times he hit me were by his ws's that go right threw shadows, other then that he never touched me. he died and of course no drop i wast really expecting it but i was glad that i took him down , it was a fun fight. He only gave me 100 exp so that means that this is only lvl 40 lol which makes him a pretty weak NM. btw im about 20/100+ on the actual drop but here are a few things ive learned
- he drops mostly when ur in a pt with another person camping it ( ive never got a drop solo out of about 50 kills but ive got 20 drops when i was with other people.
- he can pop back to back, he usually does this after it takes him a long time to pop lets say 2h
- usually not many people camp this becuse of the low drop rate but if ur in the area u might even get alky/pallas tod
thats all i have to say and i hope u learned something about this NM.

So stop acting so dam cocky, if uve really killed the nm that many times with another person i think ud get alot moredrops then that and u really have no life.

i fought it with a 75 PLD+Drg 57 <me> from ls last night i had it down to about half health and i was at 800/1100 when it charmed me after i used a penta and then he comes from the other room to take it. luckily i didnt hit him any and he killed it no prob and i discharmed after it was almost dead and no drop. easy solo for me as long as he has the bats out back for it tonight 0/1 so far
I journeyed up the tower today hoping to find this guy. Oygos poped on me and a friend, no drop. Killed Mimas 3 times for 1 axe (2k...) while waiting for this guy. He had to go a little while later and i was there alone. After an hour and a half i had to log. So can anyone tell me what the pop timer is normally in? I was killing all the gigas in both rooms because its loterry spawn.

Me and my hommie Mikerobinson are skilled as anyone on campin Enk. We are 35/356. I promise you if we are there you will not get the claim. We have thus named Upper tower Robbin-Deezzz tower. Not to immulate a greater person.. only that we have never been out claimed. So to save everyone else in the world a hard time of workin for money on Enk. He is not likely to drop it. He is a greedy *** nm and is not worth your time. Especially if we are there.

you are a loser, im sure you dont get outcamped simply because he has low drop rate you fool, not manypeople camp him for that reason. and RMT definetly dont bother with him. in the many hours you spent camping him you could have made alot of more money. but then again i wouldn't expect someone of ther intellect to pick up on that
No one cares. This is for posting useful information not how many times you and your b/f make out at this tower. And if you had half a brain you'd have said what sever you were on.

Has anyone heard something about 1k+ WS being the key to getting drop on these giants. I heard once from a dragoon I was camping against once. It was his first time on Enk and he was drg/war and he got claim and drop after doing a 1221 penta thrust. This kind of freaking me out considering I am 0/7 on Enk and havent had less than TH-1 each time.

Rumor, and only rumor 3/3 on enky and 2/4 on ogy, solo 67thf and i killed them slow no weapon skills becauose i was lvling throwing :D
To this and the post below, anything about 1k+ dmg helping an item drop is most likely not true and spawned by rumors and happy circumstances (if nothing else, it's definitely not confirmed and compareable to the EES shot= TH+3; most nonsense and detracts from helpful information).
TH2 will help, and I personally believe TH1 helps all the same, but people are pretty neurotic about the idea that TH1 helps commons drops, but only TH2 will help NM/rare/ex/anythingworthwhile drops.
I hold to TH1 being helpful, just negligible in comparison to TH2.
To the person I'm responding to, I'm pretty confident that DRG was just lucky.

I just claimed him twice in a row. First time, I got all excited because it was the first time I had camped him. No drop. I wait 15 minutes, other camper goes to check other spot and....whoa! He pops again! I get claim, not expecting to get drop. I kill him and.....get the drop :D

I just killed this guy 5 times in a row last night with no drop. Once at 95% full moon and once at 98% full moon. This isn't the first time i've killed him multiple times in the same night without a drop. I think SE needs to do something about this its ludacris, i'm like 1/25 on him. The bracers are only worth 1 mil, so i dont see why such the stinky drop rate. If you know some magic trick to make this thing drop please post it.

He's about as hard as Mimas with more HP.... in other words... really easy. His acc. sucks, and the only bad part is charm. He doesn't regen while you are charmed, so you just wait it out and keep kicking his ***. Assuming there's no one else there that is.
If you are soloing this as THF, just keep him blinded, and you'll be fine. Heal with bloody bolts (I think i used 4).
What a pushover.

i was campign this NM for almost 9hrs yesterday and didnt pop once at all ot in any rooms it was last quarter moon 60-55% anyone know why it wasnt popping?

So i was camping this dude with a little competetion... me MNK60/WAR30 decked out gear + meat chiefs goin atm. i provoke claim on the THF60/WAR15 . instantly he sticks a charm on me. so im like crap. then THF steals it from me. now im pissed. all the sudden i start running towards her xD. (hundred fists was still goin also). she uses perfect dodge and thinks about running but decides to stay. perfect dodge wears and i kill her in about 15 secs. retake my claim back and finish for a drop ^^. weres the fraps when u need em cause this was hilarious. needless 1/2 on him long spawn time

Um....how did you do this? Did SE just suddenly decide to make Upper Delkfutt's Tower a ballista area for 2 minutes so you could get revenge?

Enkelados can charm you. When he has you controlled, you can attack other players that attack Enkelados.

I used to camp this with DRK got my gloves on 7th kill, now im back here camping and waiting for invite for my ninja this thing pops quite shortly and i rest a bit hp aswell as NPCs MP.
I pull it with Hyoton: Ni after he has called hes pet. Fighting goes smoothly he and hes pet barely hit me i can easily recast Utsusemi Ni again and again. Somewhere middle i guess, i get link with another and shadows are fading more quickly. I need to start using ichi as well and i used my Blade: Chi on it. Because the link and Enkes 2h (Familiar) which enchances pets strenght i get hit more often and my hp has dropped down to 400. At this point my NPC casts Cure IV and im back to full hp.
Enkes dies and drops socks, gives 33exp (i was 51 ninja/thf)and i had exp band on
Mimas gives 15-22 exp each kill too so this Enke wasnt too much better than Mimas.

I'm 1/1 on him so far. I was up there farming thunder clusters and pot shards, when I just happened to see him on widescan. I did a 908 rampage on him too, whereas most of the time I do anywhere from 550-650 on those Gigas up there.
