Summary

Assist the Mythril Musketeers in their operation to destroy the siege turrets hidden inside the Ruhotz Silvermines.

Walkthrough

First zone into Bastok Markets {s} from North Gustaberg {s} for a cutscene and the key item Silvermine Key. Then, return to North Gustaberg check the Stonehoused Adit at E-9.

Prepare for a BCNM. You will be warped to the battlefield, the Ruhotz Silvermines, when your party leader checks the Stonehoused Adit again. Buffs do not wear upon entering, so you can buff and rest before going in. Your task in this bcnm is to keep an NPC, Adelheid, alive.

BCNM Details:

  • The NPC cannot be buffed.
  • The NPC can be cured.
  • At least five times, the NPC will say something and stop moving, then be attacked by Quadavs.
  • The NPC runs away from enemies if damaged.
  • The NPC starts moving again when all enemies are defeated.
  • Only one group of Quadavs attack the first two times the NPC stops.
  • Two waves of Quadavs attack the third and fourth time the NPC stops. The fourth attack contains the Magnes Quadav, a black mage.
  • The fifth stop includes: A quadav turret and at least three waves of Quadav, the third includes three Magnes Quadavs. Ignore the quadav turret, which cannot be damaged.

If you lose the battle, you must wait until the next game day and get another key from the Solitary Ant NPC outside Bastok Markets {s}.

After beating the bcnm, zone into Bastok Markets {s} from Gustaberg for another cutscene. Talk to Gentle Tiger outside of the Metalworks for a cutscene, and then talk to him again for another cutscene and your reward.

Just duod it with my buddy and he was pretty much ungeared. We were both BLMs, he was 74. Went pretty simply:

Wave 1: Sleepga, wait for the straggler, sleep him too. Thundaga III kills them all. Don't bother curing the NPc yet.

Wave 2: Simple. Wait for the 3 Quadav to run in, sleepga, rest some MP, cure her a bit, then Blizzaga before they awake. Firaga could probably work too.

Wave 3: More difficult. It is much harder to get them all together for a thundaga. Just sleepga when a lot are together and have the other sleepga the stragglers. Take out the big group with Thundagas and rest/resleep the stragglers. Cure the NPC up, she will need it. Rest fully before tending to the stragglers. I often found myself getting low (Double digits lol) on life here, so just watch yourself. This is the hardest wave.

Wave 4: This comes in two parts. She will stop under the overhang. Sleepga when all 4 start attacking her in the center. Sleepga will hit them all. IMMEDIATELY both of you thundaga. The second part of the wave is comming. This second part involved 3 melees and a BLMQuad. One of you should cover the 3 melee (Sleepga will hit them all) and the other should sleep the BLMQuad. Rest and Thundaga the group of melees, cure the NPC up, rest MP, 2x Thunder IIIs will finish the BLM.

Wave 5:
Part 1: The first group of quadavs will come. A BLM quad will straggle behind. One of you focus on the melees and the other the straggler. Sleepga 1, not 2.

Part 2: The next wave of melees comes. The BLM on melee duty should Sleepga 2 these, it will overwrite the previous sleepga 1.

Part 3: More Melees and 2x BLMQuad. Both should sleepga II there respective mobs. Manafont and Thundaga them down. you will have to do melee and BLMQuads seperately. Manafont should be up for the BLMs.

Trio seems fine for non-magey groups. Get a sleeper, a healer, and a DD.

Just curious if anyone tried this yet and how powerful mobs are (i.e. quest Soloable? Duo? Trio? ect . . .) I am on this quest now and not sure how large of a force I need to gather up for it.
