Got PUP24 and saw these... they have jumped up to 100k on Leviathan and I did the quest a long time ago. -_- This now seems like a worthy quest to do.
I cant...

water flasks
# Mar 03 2004 at 5:30 AM Rating: Decent
I have two get the water quests active: Drachenfall water from Black Mud at I-6 in the Bastok Mines and Hollis springs water from Curilla at I-9 in Chateau D'Oraguille. Both quests gave me a flask, but i can only find one flask in my inventory. I suspect this is the flask for the Drachenfall water because the description is a brass canteen-a Bastokian canteen made of brass. What is the description of the Hollis spring water canteen? and are they both the same? Are these unique items that preclude you having two of them? Am I now prevented from doing one of the quests since I cannot get another canteen.

Stay tuned for another episode and find out if our hero (me) is subject to these disasters or an entirely new set of disasters we haven't even thought of yet.

The Bastok quest (and the similar Windurst quest) actually give you a canteen, which you trade to the spring. The San d'Oria quest gives you a key item (look in your key items instead of your inventory.)

ive done the RDM AF1 quest, and in that quest, they speak of Curilla's father a bit, and well, i havnt done this quest, and it wont activate...

Tartesk! you are famous in this contry!
something about the country giving back to me...

anyone have any ideas?

People speak of my father's ghost? Not once has anyone mentioned this to me...
But such a rumor troubles me, for it could be him.
I would have liked you to look into this matter, but it seems i would sooner get blood from a stone.

thats what she says when i talk to her.

EDIT:
i went back and talked to the guy who gives the RDM AF1 and the few people around him... still cant access... any ideas?

For you fellow RDMs, you won't be able to get this quest until you finish AF quests. I also had the same experience with Curilla. Since you deal with her a lot during RDM AF quests, she'll keep giving you the same response about her father until all of them are completed (after getting Chapeau for lvl 60). A few months have passed since I finished all the AF quests & next time I was questing in sandy, I talked to her & she offered it to me. And my fame level can't be that high, only have done about 10 quests in addition to AF quests... Hope that helps! ^^

The npc won't let me start the quest at all? Is it a need to have some fame in San O first??
lvl?

What lvl can this be done? It says lvl 1 for the description, but is it actually possible to get to the peak without fighting anything?

# Jan 12 2004 at 11:43 AM Rating: Default
i've been in the area as a lvl 27 and the only things that aggroed were the orcs that dropped the ghelsba key (Fighter, Cursemaker, Serjeant).

if you're going to fight the sandoria dragon, kill 2 birds w/ 1 stone. After you beat the dragon, you end up in the hot springs. If you don't think u'll beat the dragon, then go to the hot springs first. both zones are in the same area

there is NO MAPfor harolis peak one doesnt exist!
RE: No Map
# Dec 05 2003 at 2:49 PM Rating: Decent
Yeah,
There is no point in there being a map for harolis peak, since the entire zone is about the size of one or two map grids, and there are no turns or branches you can take.
Map...

Where can you get a map of ghelsba and it's surrouding areas, such as horlais? Plus, just giving grid locs doesn't quite cut it since fort ghelsba is VERY up and down and there's caves everywhere.

There is only one layer in the map that has the grid corodinates I gave. Sorry if you haven't purchased the map of the area, I can't help you.

Directions
# Nov 18 2003 at 4:07 PM Rating: Excellent
Head to Ghelsba Outpost, climb to the very top of the mesa and run through the hut guarded by an Orcish Grunt into Fort Ghelsba.
From Fort Ghelsba go to grid J-8 and zone into Yughott Grotto
From Yughott Grotto go to grid J-9 and there you can zone into Horlais Peak.

The peak is tiny, you can't get lost in it. Find the "Sweet Spot" in the spring, target it and talk, trade or whatever with it, and you will get a message saying you filled the gernerals bottle with the water. You have to had talked to the general first of course.

A lil lost

I have been in the area of Yughott Grotto that runs north east and south west; but I can't figure out how to get to the other map where it takes you to Horlais Peak. Is there something I am missing? I couldn't check all the nooks and crannies of the first map because of all the orcs... Can someone help me please? ^.^
#Anonymous, Posted: Dec 14 2003 at 4:34 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Tonight me and a group went into Yughott Grotto in search for this supposed entrance to the peak. J-9 is off of the map, and none of the caverns had any secret tunnel leading to it. Not only that, but this is definately not a quest for anyone below level 15.
RE: Directions
# Dec 18 2003 at 6:36 PM Rating: Good
Did you enter Yughott Grotto from J-8 in Fort Ghelsba like you were supposed to? Because there are two completely seperate areas in Yughott that are not reachable from each other. One of them is a long area with three exits that runs from southwest to northeast, which is the area you don't want. The other area is a small which does have an exit to Holis at J-9.

map1
map2

Nice attitude in your post BTW. The instructions just have to be wrong don't they... it couldn't because you didn't follow them, or don't know what you are doing, could it?

How do I collect the water, same as the other quest for the river just outside in east ronfare??
RE: bottle
# Nov 27 2003 at 2:27 PM Rating: Default
It can't be the same, becuase in this case, the water flask is a key item. I think you just have to examine the spot when you get there.
