Description
Somewhere deep within this enormous expanse of catacombs lie the remains of the 24th heir to the throne of San d'Oria: Ranperre, the Dragon King. It is said that the king--who was a dragonslayer--had entrusted the protection of the tomb to a black dragon that had been spared in exchange for its services.
Points of Interest
- The San d'Oria missions Bat Hunt, Ranperre's Final Rest, and The Heir to the Light all involve this zone.
- This zone can be used to reach a special enclosed section of Jugner Forest, via (K-5).
- Vrtra and Cemetery Cherry can be found here.
- Treasure chests in this zone may contain Battle Gloves.

Hi all
i'm stell new in game lvl 11
but really i want to know how to get any maps
like king tomp or any athor map
1- can i buy it
2-do i have to make some tests
3-kill some anim or orce
4-kill my self :P
i feel tird from looking in the site and out
but all what i find is quest of king tomp
to take sbatha or 200 gil
but i don't want any thing i just want the map

Good luck on just starting out and here is some things to help you out Exit the Gambler and another link for the quest to get the map of
King Ranperre's Tomb <------ Click here. The Starting NPC is inSan d'Oria North .
Here is the Link to the Map Dealer in San d'Oria so you can purchase all the ones you need for starting out ~~~>Elesca I-8.

ok i have no idea how this happend, but while i was exping (54MNK) we got a link... np right just zone up it should despawn... well no, it came up with me hit me 5-6 more times and killed me, so i get raised go back down killing the mob we were killing and another links so we try killing both and when we did run they came up and killed my entire pty!! so there we were 5x lvls 52-54 in weak KRT dead...i donno what SE did but i dont like it

what does the "Spook" drop?? i have heard it is somthing expensive...i know it is lvl 11-14 and i am lvl 20 so i think i can take it.

the spook drops a traveler's mantle which sell 4 80-90k
WHY it sells for that much is beyond me. I mean, yeah, the Evasion+3 is nice, but I don't see how it's worth 100k (Garuda).
I mean, the Night Cape is a LOT cheaper than this, and it's basically the same thing, but better! Same evasion boost, higher defense, resistance against Dark...besides, the slightly higher level req, it's like an upgrade! And it costs like 70k cheaper!

The reason lower level items are more expensive is simply that they are lower level. You can use them with more jobs, or if you're capped. To attain the same stat boost that you would 20 levels later is a huge thing, so it makes sense for something to be so expensive.
well from lil leathercraft that i know you can craft the cape into nomands mantle wich if you HQ i think it goes for over 1mil :P

The Mantle is used in a High lv Cloth or Leather synth, dont remember which, to make Nomad Mantle.

yeh my ls (coldBloodKillers) we took Vrta down in about 45 min. So Easy, I mean come on no way tis is hardest mob in game

This may be a question no one knows,but wtf is the strange apparatis near the lv 70-75 exp patry zone? Why does it it look like a science fiction computer? And why do i get the fealing it was built by the zilarts? And why does it have a system overload everytime i trade an item to it?

nah, i dont care about the exp. i just wanted to c it. its funny cuz i barely got in range to c him and he walked very slowly toward me. i ran back to the door, then he did the pull u to him thing. he hit me for 689 dmg. when i was barely in range to c him he took up half of my screen. he was WAY bigger than the behemoth lol

what does vrtra aggro to? if i go in with my 29 whm and put sneak and invisi and deo on will he still aggro me? if he does oh well i just wanna c it lol
Vrtra has True Sight and so can see through Invis, Sneak and Deodorize. Vrtra also has 'Draw In' where they can suck you right in front of them if they spot you within range.
What would likely happen was: you got within range to barely see Vrtra, Vrtra draws you in, then you get one shot by a dragon. :D
You probably would get a great view of its belly though. Might be worth doing, but only if you don't mind the XP loss.

Once you find the portal and get warped into the other area. Stick to the left wall, and you'll eventually reach an area full of Warrior/Sorceror type Skeletons. keep to the left and you'll reach a Heavy Stone Door, open it and you'll meet the toughest sob in this game :P

One of the funnest exp ptys I have ever had was here w/ 3 mnks, 1 brd, 1 rdm, 1 whm. We just went around in that circle outside the secret room and killed everything. Chain 16s was normal! We were all lvl 75s and the mnks were pretty pimped out.
