Webcutter  

I realy hate this nm 3 weeks now every day i camp this thing and my fight is it kills me then i kill it no drop.
Thats happening every time and i fight it 3 or 4 times a day so what is up with this *&£%^ realy i mean i can kill it
easy but somehow it always manages to kill me first before i get it and all this time and no drop.Well least i have gone from 34 bst to 50 fighting around here dont need stupid scythe anymore i just want it as a matter of principle.
anyone else had this much trouble?.

im a 46pld/23war and i stumbled upon this NM when i was camping Morrion Worm. idk what lvl this thing is but i soloed it fairly easily. i got the Webcutter 1/1 too ^^. guess ill use it when i lvl DRK. anyways if ur camping the NM just make sure to kill the other spiders around it, they'll link and they're a nasty bunch to deal with.

Honestly, for BST, this scythe is very "luxury" to say the least.

It's really nice for levelling through Korroloka and West Altepa, but you can go without it just as easily. (As I did. Didn't get one of these until 40BST.)

Ok guys to get this nm to pop you simply kill the spiders in the area. They repop in exactly 12 minutes, and like Cargo Crab Colin, Fal will pop after his place holder has been killed a second time. If you kill all the spiders more than that, then he has been killed already and will not pop for 3 hours. I timed this and have gotten the claim 2 times now. I based this strategy on my CCC one. The only differance was that Colin will repop in 2 hours, and Fal repops in 3. Good luck, and hope you get the drop, 0/2 so far.

Falcatus Can't be much higher than 35. I only got 100 exp when I killed him at 30, but I used a T pet, so I shoulda gotten around 120-140exp. Well that's High T- Low VT exp I believe, so I'd have to say there's no way he's 44-46.

kwl i really would love to have this for my war.....lvl 24 is around the time wen u get third scythe skil if its capped and that does massive dmg so if any 1 would help me camp it <carbuncle> if we get webs u can have em if we get scythe 2 times u can have 1 lol ^^ thx

I got this Scythe before my BST hit 24.

I farm a lot in Korroloka Tunnel, and I came across it. So, me being the Thief that I am, said "Holy sh*t Batman! A Notorious Monster!" and proceeded to kick its ass.

Got the Webcutter, Two Webs, and 2600 gil.

Not but ten minutes later did I see Cargo Crab Colin. ^_^ He didn't drop the Nadrs, but he was fun to skillup Sword on.

Soloed this guy 3 times, never got through stoneskin even with his little friends there (Sleepga works well), 4th time my thf friend came to help for Webcutter and Spider Web (10k) drops, and we soloed it in under 15 seconds (Both had 300% tp, I did over 700 and he did 500ish). Webcutter didn't drop once, but we made about 600k all together from morion worm, this dude, and all the other stuff we were farming. Man, this thing was weak to me, so feel free to try ^^ Btw, I think they changed the thing that makes it say how hard an NM is after you kill it once, 'cause it was still saying ITG for me on all 4 kills. Good Luck, and I think pop time was 2 to 2 and a half hours and you have to kill the spiders 'cause they're placeholders.

I dropped this chump as 55rdm, shes easy, cept the linking spiders, had to have my blm friend come train the spiders off and warp out after he pulled them away ><.

Me and my L60 DRK LSmate were farming in Korroloka Tunnel when I told him to go check if the Spider NM was up so he could finally get his first rare/ex Scythe drop. He was excited but after 2 hours of nothing popping he kinda got doubtful and sauntered off. 30 minutes later, I tell him to get over there and keep camping.. so he walks near it, sees 5 people flee to it, so he hits "Flee" and runs in, stuns the NM, and begins fighting.

Unfortunately for him, he was at 400 HP to start with and every spider in the area aggro'd him (The other 5 bystanders did nothing to help them, shows how much of a helping game FFXI is) so I had to run all the way from the Cargo Crab Colin spawn to him to save his arse.. killed the NM and the spiders and got only 900 G apiece and 2 spider webs ; ;. Anyhow, was an interesting fight and his HP total at the end of all of the spiders was 36/12xx, so it was quite close :D. Happy hunting you guys!

I thought this is a perfect for my bst at thta lv so I went camping =) After killed all the spiders for 30 mins it finally poped, It wasn't a hard fight I started with a sneak attack, absorb agi, vit, str than Bio 2 (I was having fun with it), he was hitting me 20+ dmg, but after all the debuff he was hitting me for 7~8 dmg, lol. but mid way through fight he did a sickle slash on me and did about 285 dmg (so watch out for that one), other than that it was nice and easy to the end.

It drop the Webcutter and a spider web for me, not gil like many mentioned.

Lv 25 Bst (part time)

Got it today, i also heard it increases drop rate of webs. I killed like 10 spiders after it no drop, couldn't even sell to npc, so i just dropped it.

After killing it once yesterday with obly a web and gil drop I came back today with Thief sub...

After about 4 hours I got 6 webs and Webcutter...It spawned as I was off the computer...Treasure Hunter may help it out a bit because I got 2 Spider Webs instead of one and Webcutter..

IMO its not best Scythe but it does work wonderful on Vermin....it Stunned 1/3 hits and sometimes even 2/3 hits....

Definitly turns some heads with it being Rare/Ex...so thats good enough for me...very good for my Bst..

It isn't worth anything because EX can't be sold.
