To anyone who ever questioned this, I'm very convinced that you don't have to lay the final blow in order for TH to take into effect.
I was with my LS last night in Crawlers Nest hunting Exoray Mold for Renkei I. We weren't getting drops, so we decided to let our lvl 65+ Ninja solo the exorays and what do you know; he gets the drop... 20 min later, we tried it again, got the drop. It was very sketchy at this point, so we tried it a few more times, no dice though. Weird how it works like that.
2/4 solo on exorays and got an extremely rare drop.

I am a level 52 thief. I have fought the Bomb King in Outer Horutoto Ruins a total of four times, and I got the Rare drop Bomb Ring all four times. 56k gil with no problems.

HOLY **** 56k !!!! thats ludacris its only 20k max on leviTHAN SERVER AND USUALLY SELLS FOR 15K i wish i had that server
....it's better on your server. 56K for ~>4<~ rings, so 4 x 15K = 60K and you've already got a better rate. 4 x 20K = 80K Wow! You've got 24K MORE if they sell high -_-''

i was in a party with a lvl. 50 thf and every gob gave him either a mask or a helm, or mail
I went out this morning quickly (got 45 last night) and killed a quick shaman and tiger in battalia, and got no drop. Bad luck, but don't think that this ability guarantees drops.

Er no, they just _raise_ the chances... Not sure by how much but it's definitely better than TH1 that's for sure...
i think TH rasises the percent by 10 or 20 and TH2 doubles that to either 20 or 40. which is well worth it
