You probably know this but if i was going about this i would;

set the filter to excellent

open up notepad

go back copying link location to the notepad for every guide looking thing for about 100 pages just to be complete.

It would be really hard to get all the good links as there are literally hundreds upon hundreds of pages to look through.

Also check helpful peoples bookmarks (click on someones name and you'll see there bookmarks if their premium)

Walkerscrisps, I actually did start by setting the default. But, the notepad thing >< Yeah, I made it alot harder on myself by using cut paste from the explorer bar to the post. But, I did go back about 70 pages. And I intend to go a bit further. I also did some searches for certain topics and included the words "Guide".

I'll start looking for those bookmarks now. Thanks.

I am very honored to have two of my threads included among such great company. Very nice idea for a thread.

If I may make one simple suggestion: maybe you could put in a link to the job class FAQ found in each of the job forums. That way, all the faqs can be found in one area.

Edit: Added some more posts. Redid the layout a bit. I think it helps the flow more.

I'd like to do more editing, but since I got back from lunch, the website is full of those damn refugees^^. Any more inputs would be appreciated.

Sticky? How would you go about requesting a sticky? Maybe the Submit Information thingy on the left? I dunno. Repeatedly bumping? I wouldn't mind if someone cut and pasted into the main FAQ or took it all together, but I agree, there should be an easy way to get to the good posts.

I requested a sticky for you, the admins decided not to though, citing allakhazam's long-standing "minimal use of stickies in the FFXI main forum" rule. So, we'll just have to keep bumping it.

WOW. That is one fantastic collection of the best guides available. Honestly I thing that this should come up on the screen when you buy the game and have to do that horrible 3-4 hour patch...lol Rate-ups for you AmbroseOdin!

Whaoh- I made it...though I have to say that was a #*&$^# fine post. I am working on the others currently. Saboruto is l33t r0x0rzing t3h nub me though. Way to represent lil' guy.

I think your only hope of sticky love is getting this sticked in a secondary, yet still common area... Dunno where that could be though.

Or just live large Karg style and keep getting bumped.

I say we have a long, frank discussion in which we all suggest ways to get this thread bumped and then each of us can respond to each idea.

I'm sure we can figure out a way to keep bumping.

It'd be nice to place this somewhere, but I don't think Popsi would like me intruding on that space in the Tradeskill Forum... plus, those crafters are a bit weird. (j/k, of course^^) Maybe the Taru Race Forum.... hmmm.

The truth is that guides like this really aren't that hard to find/keep alive- even if they never get a sticky.

You can #1- Show Alla you care, go premium and bookmark it.

#2- Set the filter to excellent and the posts per page to 100- that'll bring it up in a hurry.

#3- Get a wordprocessing document, and copy/paste the links to any posts you are interested in to it ("the ghetto bookmark"- not nearly as reviled WAR/WHM "ghetto Paladin", and a personal tactic of mine)

#4- be too lazy for any of these and just trist that it will get a regular bump- Katg ahsn't gone anywhere for sure.
