Today 3 people Left FFXI - and 1 gave me easily over 2 million in +1 Gear's for my own use or to sell. While one person left the game for personal reasons the other 2 left because they said FFXI no longer interested them. Much to my dismay the people that were leaving were extremely good friends of mine and they left to play WoW.
The more I sat and pondered about why I play ffxi and what I could look foward to I realized there wasn't much because the developers lack communication with the players. Half of us KNOW that something is on the horizong but WTF it is beats me.
So taking some time out of my Daily routine of molesting various wildlife around the globe I decided to have a chat with a GM.
Upon Summoning my Petition I had a short wait before GM Alanone and I began our conversation.
The First Screenshot I Express my Anguish with the media news delivery system. The General outline of the chat involved me telling some issues we as a community have and him explaining to me the process to which news will be delivered to us from now on including his and other GM's personal Suggestions. It ends with my asking him to show himself for proof none of this was fabricated. He said "they are to remain shadows" lol but 20 seconds later he popped up infront of me behind the Desk in the Tenshodo. Check the Pics plz of the chat.

Unfortunately GM's themselves are many rungs below the decision makers on the ladder as are, I would imagine, their supervisors and their supervisors' supervisors but you never know. All we can really do is plant the seeds and see what grows.

That was an interesting read. And umm why is the GM all blurry? o.O
It's a special effect that the GMs have. Hand to explain unless you're played or seen MNK's Counterstance. It's sorta looks like that, but constant.

I just wanted to say that Alanone seems like a very nice and understanding guy. Major kudos to him for being such a good listener and treating you with respect.

How do I exactly call a GM to ask questions? The only ways I've seen to call a GM is by reporting a ToS breach or if I can't move or log out.

That's the GM's armor... it gives off sparkles and it has the blurry effect. So all GMs SS will be blurry like that.
I've spoken with Alanone three times on these issues, and one other, he's the nicest one to me so far, and the best one I've heard of other than Thailina, who actually came in game and watched a NA THF on Quetzalcoatl, Rinas, claim, kill, and get the drop from Argus, with no bots used and a congratulations from [GM]Thailina to prove that it was a legitimate kill.

Very interesting read and thx for sharing, but like someone else has said, unless you actually progress through CoP, you're missing out on quite a HUGE story.
Honestly, the zilart missions are like.. one sixth of the entire CoP mission selection. There is absolutely tons to it, and the story/cutscenes are really really good. :)
