Yeah, me! Smiley: lol

On a somewhat related note, before I even saw that cut-out, I was talking with people around me, remembering the Dead or Alive Extreme Beach Volleyball promo Microsoft did... Yeah, they had a body pillow with (I think) Kasumi on it. I was thinking how great it would be to have a Mithra... or a Lion... body pillow. Of course, then the conversation turned to various inflatables, but I do not want to bore you with the details.

Here's my contribution to this thread.

Some pictures of the event and the goodies.

First of all, the forecast for this weekend is rain. The wind was blowing when I arrived there at 6 pm. (Bleh, work, I left work early at 5:30 pm to get there at what I thought was a decent time, too.) The registration line was long! It wrapped around the FFXI area of the pier (sorta visible in my pictures). A big white tent was to the south, and lovely FFXI music was wafting out. It sounded like a live band in there so my guess is it's the Star Onions' final rehearsal before their Saturday gig. Everyone's conversation was about FFXI. About macros, who makes the best tank, their favorite spells, how to steal hate, who can hold hate the best and on and on. I met a few San d'Orians from Lakshmi, and we talked for a bit. The San d'Orian SMN cosplayer was there again (he was at the iGames in Gardena back in March 2005). I believe he said he was from Phoenix, although I am not sure.

So after 2 cups of hot tea and 2-1/2 hours later at 8:30 pm, I was finally at the front of the line. Moopie (my friend) and I had a $10 bet going, he thought we would be the 500+ person to register and not get the FFXI Atlus. I said we were going to get the Atlus. I'm now $10 richer.

After registration, we were allowed into the room with the FFXI Xbox360 Beta game was running. The game looks uber nice. I played a character that had it's base 6 jobs to 20-21 but he had absolutely no white mage spells, even though this character had white mage and red mage to level 21. I thought that was funny. :) Aside from a life size cardboard cutout of Lion (sorry, no pictures, but I'm sure there will be others who will take her pic, or me on Saturday) nothing else exciting.

Did I mention it was freakin' cold? And rain forecasted for this Saturday? >_<

As for the gobbie bag, the only thing worthwhile in there are the atlus and the moogle cap. At least IMHO. ~_^

Full-size images of swag uploaded to xs.to. Thanks for the tip!

Edit: Currently it is 8:38 AM. I am about to shower and head down to the pier (this time with my digital camera!) If I am unable to find a wireless hotspot I can use, I will head to the closest Starbucks around lunchtime and post from there.

I told a friend about beseige and that's about how they responded to it too. Something to do but nothing that will draw in new players or get current players super excited.
