Just an alternative place for Lesser Colibris, we did them in Bhalflau(sp?) Thickets with a 57-59 Party, xp dropped quite a bit at 59 but i reckon you can probably do them effectivly from about 55~ to 58, 59-60 with a bard. Camp we went to supports one party 57~58 possibly two if they are lower. There are other camps around the zones also. Aht Urghan Attercops could also be targetted.

Camp was at (I-8) against the south wall of the open area.

Lv.63-65 Aydeewa Subterrane (Roaming) Target: Aydeewa Diremite, Puktrap, Defoliator, Mold Eater
These monsters can pretty much be found throughout the Subterrane. It is advised to pull them back into the tunnels as wind elementals sometimes spawn in the open rooms. Also be vigilant in some rooms Fossorial Fleas may spawn. Qiqrin do not aggro, however be careful of Mychopper's and Giant Amertat they do aggro. Puktraps neither aggro nor link, whereas Mold Eaters do both. Diremites aggro only. All aggro is sound excluding tigers.

A good camp in here for a level 59-63 party is in the big room at I-7. You can kill fly traps and Crawlers. They are pretty easy. Exp will start to tail off a bit around level 63 though, and you will start running out of mobs. Its a very good camp at level 60, we averaged 10k/hr.

To get to this camp, you enter at I-6 in wajaom woodlands, then once inside, just hug the left wall to get to the camp.

Overall the camp is very safe, there are no fleas or elemental spawns here, just one annoying thing is, the puddles of water can cause the puller to lose hate on the pull, so the crawlers can end up depoping.

Partyed last night in Mammook on Ziz (cockatrice), Suhur Mas(pugils), puk, and the occasional mamool. Party was 65-67 Nin, Brd, Whm, Rdm, Rng, War. Not exactly sure where the camp was (no map yet). We walked there from whitegate like you go to the staging point and the mobs were on the lower level. (I'm guessing about 1/2 through). Another party was there when we got there and several of them dinged 70.

Bhaflau Thickets outside Mamool Ja Staging Point is still perfectly good for TP burn merit party for level 75s. I've earned upwards of 12k exp in an hour there.

Most insane TP burn I've had there was:
NIN/WAR + MNK/NIN + MNK/NIN + MNK/NIN + BRD/WHM + RDM/WHM

We plowed through everything. Two weapon skill attacks and almost any mob was basically dead. Even the Juriks (wyverns) didn't last long enough to get off hardly any paralyzing or fatal attacks.

Here's a good camp to fill your 60-62 gap

Bhaflan Thickets Pos G-8 in the passage before the bend. Target is Wajaom Tigers. They have annoying aoe paralyze so have your mages sub /whm and your good to go. They have low hp and low def, but high attack. The go down easy to a large weaponskill bluemagic weaponskill party.

Very good post, I don't think many people have experimented with partying here at lower levels, they're only "Merits! Yes!" Unfortunately, this concept has plagued the game, because no one ever wants to go anywhere else. I like parties in traditional places as well as Aht Urghan, I actually had a really fun 70+ Kuftal Tunnel party at one point. So while you should take advantage of the new area, if you see 100 people in Caedarva Mire 70+, don't take your party there.

Can this go into a guide or something somewhere so we don't lose this?

Bump and sorry I've not edited for a while been out of town for last week and a half. I'll be updating with everything I've missed tonight or tommorow! Keep 'em coming if you have em. Especially be nice to get more of the obscure party camps and Beastmaster Camps.

level 64-66 Bhaflau Thickets
Target: Colibri's at the SW tower or the hallway right before the Halvung zone
Colibri's are great b/c they don't aggro, and they don't link. Both camps can support one party with steady chain 5 and no downtime. We partied there once with a 63-65 pt and again with a 64-66 pt and things were consistently checking VT or higher. Colibris do have a TP move called Snatch Morsel which will take the food of whoever has hate. Our tank didn't eat any food, and our melee would sometimes get theirs stolen. However, I feel that it was worth it for a steady 6.7k / hr on both nights. Not the best xp available in the new areas, perhaps, but very very safe (nobody died ever in either party).

Nominating:

For levels 64-67(XP tails down a bit with a 67):
Mount Zhayolm versus Magmatic Eruca (Fire Crawlers). I'm not sure on the camp's <pos> but I will look it up for you when I get online tonight. I think it's I-9 but you might want to wait til I confirm that. Taru NINs might want HP+ Gear as a Eruca Fire Breath can really do some damage if Barfira is down (Keep it up when fighting!) As they are crawlers, a dispeller will be required.

I actually dont suggest this camp until 67/68.

Instead, fight crawlers in bhaflau thickets outside the entrance to Halvung from 65/66 to 67/68

For the 64-65/66 gap, fight puks in wajoam woodlands. There are a couple great camps. One in particular is at H-11.

Once your pt hits 68, grab a pld tank and go to town killing chigoes from marids. You can take these to lvl 70 with decent xp, some will even take this to 71, though at 70, the xp will drop to about 4-5k an hour from about 7-8k an hour. OUCH!

At level 70-75, there is a lot of camps. Most of them involved areas just outside staging points. These are heavily camped, so getting your camp often will result in pure luck.

Have a camp I went to last night that was incredible XP:

Lv.73-75 Mount Zhaylom (L-6 Far side of Gates of Halvung Requires Cast Metal Plate) Target: Puddings, some Hilltrolls

The main focus here is to beat up on Ebony Puddings. That's right, beat up. This makes a great roaming setup. A BLM is nice, but not necessary for elemental debuffs, but a melee heavy PT setup can still work beautifully. There are many spawn points around and this camp can support 1, maybe 2 roaming parties. If needed Hilltroll Puppeteers and their automoatons can serve as chain fillers. If you can keep a good rythmn chains of 20+ are easily possible. Puddings detect by sight and do not link, but apparently aggro to JAs. Hilltrolls link and aggro by sight.

The setup I had was MNK MNK WAR NIN BRD and WHM. I need to double check to see if my camp area is correct. I know it is definitely east of the gate so from maps I estimate it is the open area around L/M-6.

-J

EDIT: no BLM in this setup. I knew my memory was faulty. ^^

Found another camp.

Level 67-70 Mamook (Southeast area of map) Target: Colibri, Ziz, and the occasional Mamool Ja

Pull Ziz and Colibri and kill; it's pretty simple. If you run out of Ziz (cockatrice) and Colibri you can pull fish for chaining. Pretty much everything aggros here, the fish to sound, and I think cockatrice to sight, but i'm not entirely sure. These are moderate exp/fast kills. You need a white mage to kill these to work with stona, or you can do what I did for a while and have two summoners on Spring Water rotation; I vastly recommend the white mage. Black Mages always, always, always need to keep up a barspell of the right element when fighting colibri before they nuke them.

***

I found this camp entirely by accedent. I had wanted to kill spinners but the camp was taken already by a manaburn group and some of our members took the wrong entrance to mamook. Basically I appropriated leader because the current one was incompetent nad couldn't get a damn thing done, and told the guys to come southeast because the cockatrice checked VT-IT and should be able to chain really easily.

A lot of the party left really fast before even arriving at camp, and I called in a pld and a drg from my ls to help while I searched for more people. I invited two summoners momentarily forgetting that they could not cast stona, ever. We decided to go with it anyways and do spring water rotation. Everything died pretty fast. We were making about 3-4k an hour despite the lack of stona or a red mage/bard/corsair, with a paladin tanking mind you.

Eventually both of the summoners dced one right after the other.. somehow; I think they got hit by a storm. I replaced them with a ranger and a white mage and the exp shot up to 5-6k an hour. It was pretty much nonstop pulls and it pushed my paladin and myself to our limits, but we kept up. I see vast potential for this camp and the best part is, I don't think anyone knows about it yet.

I've done some testing on the Colibri because I soloed them a lot as NIN while lfg and Snatch Morsel does not get absorbed by shadows (capped skill 269) it will always go through them but not use them. However it can miss it isn't a magic type move it is physical so possibly flash-able.

Also Marid's Chigoes are not giving exp atm they are supposed to be tweaking their exp which looks like SE might be nurfing Marid/Chigoe chains.
