This is the mega-boss for Bhaflau Remnants Salvage (Unless of course killing it force pops a harder NM. . .)

Image

I'd like to know if anyone has gotten to him what their strats have been, what has worked and failed. I've heard so many theories, let's not turn this into an AV thread.

So far we know it can spam AoE for mass damage, can reset hate, seems to build tp incredible fast.

It is susceptable to enfeeble. Even I managed to Jubaku it for a few minutes.

Melee heavy is not advised, feeding it tp will just get everyone killed. dealing damage from far away, or having ninja and monk deal dot without giving it too much tp and running back when hit seems to work.

Another major problem is time. When going up the floors it's important to avoid as many mobs as you can. Only fight what you need to fight. 4th floor can be skipped entirely.

We fought an NM then I Ninja Kyahan'd it to the teleporter. Gear/s seem to have very low aggro range.

That's all I have atm. . .

Also all posts about characters reputation or otherwise I am ignoring. I won't be dragged into any derailing of this thread.

The pointless NMs on the way down (i.e. Mad Bomber) probably weaken the final boss somewhat.

You do stuff with Roundhouse?

Correct me if i'm wrong but isn't he the infamous paladin with both aegis AND excalibur who stole like 50 million gil in dynamis currency from his dynamis shell to get his relic 5's then disbanded? His reputation sucks. People know of him on every server.

I'd hate to be in your shell.

Wow Roundhouse. You play on the Unicorn server don't you. Ya I thought so. He isn't the most reputable of guys. I wouldn't trust that shell. You may get screwed. He has had a few topics dedicated entirely to himself on the Paladin forms over the years. I'm surprised he hasn't been thrown out of the game yet.

EDIT: Somebody beat me to it.

@ OMEGAG and AZNA

This is not a topic about Roundhouse. Look at the title.

Thank you.

I've heard this theory and atm I can't dissprove it, but we did kill two NMs. Archaic Chariot and

This stupid mob

We did not come across the mad bomber on 1st floor. The Archaic Chariot is mean, spams AoE a lot, very powerful. I thought killing it might make the LongBow weaker but it didn't seem too weak.

I've also heard that gears warping will strengthen the megaboss. I don't think this is accurate, 1) it doesn't entirely make sense. 2) they seem to warp at will, aggro or not. Todays' run saw a gear warp w/o anyone in aggro range.

But I digress, theories aren't too helpful atm, we've tried a lot. Even tried fighting it on the idle teleporters in its room to see if they lit up or some sh*t, tried to push it off the edge lol. . .

I don't think there is any 'secret' to beating it. Strategy is needed for this, I just want to hear what strats people have tried and how they worked out.

You're right. The topic doen't say anything about Roundhouse. But the screenshot says it all. Please forgive me for not being sympathetic to you. I know you must want the salvage gear just like we all do. My shell has had similar experiences with various mega bosses.

But the fact remains that if we help you you will bring the information to your shell leader. And in doing so we will be helping a prick get even more stuff. I'm sorry if I set my standards higher than most. But I wouldn't want to associate with the trash from the bottom of my server's dumpster. And believe me we have our fair share of characters too. That goes for all servers.

Besides we never did that one yet anyway. It's scheduled for saturday at 5 PM. So I have yet to fight that particular boss. But my point is that I don't wish to help people who scam entire linkshells of their hard earned work. We had a guy on our server empty the linkshell bank and sell it to IGE before he quit for good. He made about $1,000 real life dollars at the hands of the entire shell. The pain and suffering was felt by the server because of one person's greed. He screwed over 60 people waiting for their stuff. The shell broke up shortly thereafter. You honestly don't see anything wrong with people who do things like that?

I hope blue gartr comes back up soon, that way the drama can stay where it belongs.

Well to be technical, the drama is staying where it belongs, because well this isn't BG. I was never a BG poster, so don't give me this elitist crap when I say. Please, keep that **** out of here. I am very interested in learning about strategies for Long Bowed Chariot as well, and no one is going to post anything intelligent in here if they have to shift through 10 pages of people complaining about a ninja looter. We're running a salvage tommorow, I'll be posting any findings here if we make it to the boss. Thanks for the info Imperial Ninja.

La~la~la~

Kill each of the NM bosses on each floor to reduce some part of the boss's strength (movement speed for example).

Kill a certain one of the teleporting gears in each room for the path you choose on lv4. Trio gears for first room, duo gears for second and third, and trio again for fourth.

JP killed it.

Killing NMs and Triple Gears does infact hinder the Long Bow in someway. The only problem is even in it's 'weakened' state it's still no push over.

Might be attempting this again tonight, will post more if we do.

Btw if you haven't already check out the Killing Ifrit Sticky, great source of info so far seeing as BG is down.

according to somepage's update, somewhere in Salvage (possibly from longbow) a luminian plate can drop.

God only knows what it's for though.

Yea it would only make sense for NMs to weaken the big boss.

Bhaflau Remnants didn't even HAVE NM's like Mad bomber until yesterday. >.>

EDIT: I am willing to bet gil that the "Harder" Salvages (Arrapago and Zhayolm, each are 7 floors) drop the 3rd and final upgrade piece from their MBs. and drop 2nd upgrade pieces on floors 5-6 regular mobs.

EDIT 2: The plates are probably given to you after you, probably touching a ?? or maybe winning gives you some trigger...

...those plates are weird..wonder what their purpose is....?

I believe the "red potato" refers to the Carmine Erucas on that side? Just using process of elimination there...

Thank you! I'll add that later, I can't now as I'm in a rush. I've added more of the translation to my original reply...scroll up to see it. There are a few odd characters and spacing issues, but I really can't fix that right now.
Please don't beat me!

Excellent job, this will be very helpful in the future. We did a run of this the other day and fought pretty much everything we came across.. big mistake, we ended up with way more body/ring/hand/neck/waist cells than we need.. and not nearly enough magic use / max hp cells. Next time definatly use this for refrence thanks. Hopefully we can get to the boss and try to confirm these effects.

From what that says, if you are detected in any way by the archaic gears, any negative effects that you may have put on the end boss before that point are lost? That's a good reason to lynch somebody that messes up and gets aggro hehe.

Not quite. All of the boss weakening mobs have pop requirements, and proc requirements (PROC-REQ). The tele-gears all weaken the megabosse's AoE damage or rate or something (They think), and their PROC-REQ is to not be detected by them.

So in other words, you see a tele-gear, just by it being there the end boss has lower damage AoEs (for example) but if you get detected by it, it ports away, canceling that particular mobs PROC-REQ. From what it says there, it shouldn't have any effect on any other PROC-REQs that are met.

You should still lynch whoever goes AFK on autorun to get a sandwich though, sounds like the AoE TP moves are what really gets you.
