Since Exodus and I did our write-ups in separate HTML files rather than an actual news post that you all can easily reply to (plus I know the News commenting is broken sometimes) I've decided to start this thread to hold some discussion. Feel free to use this thread to post feedback, ask question, and clear up any possible misunderstandings.

Edit to add links:

I see in one of the pictures you posted Pikko that the GM's have some interesting stuff on thier monitors :D

The monitor on the left had a GM charachter on it. Do you know where GM charachters reside? Like on a world of thier own or do are they just invisible charachters in some remote place like sarutabaruta.

I posted on the thread on the main page, but it seems we are using this one now.

"We all had insane gear, fully upgraded relic weapons"

Did you guys check to see what the blu was wearing? Possible spoilers for blu's relic/af2?

also, great post, was lots of fun to read.

GMs can jump to any server, they are not based on any particular one.

That was my bad. I don't know what the BLU was wearing. I'll ask Matt or Ganiman if they remember what it was.

I know they can jump servers, but how are there characters displayed? Do they stand in physical player space, or some invented area while waiting for calls?

Could have been an Adaman Kilij?

I just read it so there were no talk about Relics for the new jobs? (I see this topic coming up A LOT lately when I'm browsing the job forums)

Also, when you said that they mentioned the PS3 hasn't been fully tested yet, were you/they talking about a PS3 FFXI "mock up" being tested, or FFXI PS2 version being tested on the PS3? I didn't understand that.

Read Exo's write up, she was talking about the ps2 game support on the ps3.

I was just hoping that SE might have not paid attention to the demo they had everyone play, and left a possible relic armor/weapon on the blu. I agree, this topic is brought up a lot, but it cant hurt to see what SE had the blu wearing.

if the blu was pimped out in normal gear i think it'd probably be a morrigan's set and a shiva' shotel. I'd be curious to know too if it was relic or no.

Yay Pikko.

I don't understand what you mean by showing them your garden.

Did you take screenshots or something?

I have my gardening data on a 28 page excel file. I'd brought a printout of the first 18 pages with me. (ran out of ink Smiley: cry)

You are scum. You met with SE personnel directly and there is not ONE mention of the NUMBER ONE PROBLEM IN THE F*CKING GAME.

Sellout. You had the nerve to jump on me like "ZOMGDETAILSCOMING" and the details are "we met the GM staff they are really nice people who do a really great job."

Yeah. Right. I hope they pay you well, because otherwise you're just a sucker.

Number 1 problem in the game is people like you crying over little things, just play the damn game and don't care what others are doing.

amirite?

Was interesting that the GM in the far back was wearing a ski mask, and he and his partner both were covering their faces :3 Ohman, that's paranoid. The guy who posted above me pretty much enforced the need for that paranoia, though.

Dude, seriously... shut the @#%^ up.

What more needs be said about it? They know it's a problem, they have said they are working on it.

You're such a joke. You do nothing but ***** about a game you continue to play.

Edit: Thanks Pikko/Exodus for the write ups. It was nice hearing Squenix's thoughts on some things.

Awesome write-ups, very entertaining to read.

You mentioned Sage Sundi's feelings on the Tribunal. You mean the Vana'diel Tribune? Was anything discussed on bringing it back, or atleast a few of the more popular articles? I used to love reading it each month. Particularly Joseaneaut's Mission and the Vana'diel Profiles.

I read both write ups and enjoyed both. The pics were great too. It's nice to know what SE is like behind the scenes.

Kudos and {Congratulations!} to you both for getting to attend. ^^

Dozens of articles have been written by others about an interview with Square-Enix exclusively about the issue of RMT.

I applaud Exo's decision at "leaving the dead horse at the forums." Asking about it for the 5,000th time is not going to give them a revelation of how to fix the problem.

On the Linkshell Community. Did the mention any plans on having it checkable via Mog House similar to the Tribunal of ages past? I think that would be an outstanding option it might actually make the Community Website more desirable if people could check it while playing FFXI rather than having to log off.

And oh...

Give it a rest already. The topic is dead dead dead retarded. SE knows the problem and are dealing with it.

I would think they would sit on some log in screen similar to the regular player's screen and wait for calls. And when they need to go to certain servers, they just log in to that server.
