To be painfully honest, THF don't need anything for a long, long time. COR on the otherhand could do for a few gear tweaks and new rolls.

I'm sorry but the second most desirable job after BRD does not need new gear.

Even so errant is better for power, and who nukes on thing's you need acc for anyway as a rdm? Sure there's nothing wrong with it for nuking but the chances of me saying man i wish I had shadow robe for this nuke are slim to likly 0.

to be honest, seeing as how Taj's info is like gold and gets around immediately on posting, if he knows well enough he has limited bandwidth and so does BG, it would be a much easier idea for him to just post it here because evidently Alla was the most reliable site during the down period. KI was like that snail that got backed over by a car that didnt die trying to make it back into the garden

However, Goliard Clogs are easy to obtain.

First of all, that's incorrect. And even if you were right, just because a big part of the job is buffs (crack to all other jobs) means we should have AF as endgame armor? No job should have regular ol' AF as endgame armor. Or at least.. No job should have regular ol' AF as endgame armor and then have to listen about how Homam/Hecatomb/Relic/AF+1/Relic+1/JSE isn't enough.

I would love to hear the metric you use to determine that COR is the second most desirable job. NIN and RDM are most desirable than COR, straight up, at any level.

There's a reason why there are 60+ BRDs and ~15 CORs on each server.

Tf at all the whiny ******* about thf not getting enough good gear. Wtf does ranger have to tp in thats just amazing not a whole lot in fact we get 1abj which is utter **** minus hands for anything and legs when we feel like running fast. Very few buyable pieces on top of that for rng we have close to the absolute smallest options for gear.
#363 Jun 05 2007 at 3:43 PM Rating: Decent
lolrng has great gear stfu, but so does thf, hes just to lazy to get homam, which is great for thf

Something I've not seen on any list yet is "Crystal Rose".

Alchemy 100(+?)
Fire Crystal
1 x Scintillant Ingot
3 x Flint Glass Sheets

I hope this is a craft ingredient because otherwise Vana'diel just got itself a new, really effin' 'spensive firework.

Wait, when did I ever say I was too lazy to get homam? I'm currently in a PM static to get sea access and have a sea/limbus LS lined up for when I do get it. Here's a couple quotes that make me wonder why that whole idea of being too lazy even got introduced.

I was excited to maybe see a good TP abjuration set for THF out of optimism, not out of a lack of outstanding gear choices. I voiced my minor disappointment when .dat info came out and it started this discussion (which I had thought ended a few pages ago).

Never once did I say that THF has poor equipment choices. Never once did I complain at the difficulty of obtaining said items. I was just minimally disappointed that only a minor few would recieve new armor this round...armor with minimal benefit.

Even in my other posts, where did I ever say "I know homam's good, but I don't want to put the work into getting it"? Please, if you find it, repost it.

Why are you people complaining about cors cost. take some time, lvl up smithign and alchemy a bit.

Mine the iron ore, its easy.

I can make the 12 pouches of bullets for basically the cost of fire crystals and pickaxes. I figure it costs me maybe 5k for 12 stacks of bullets.

there are ways to make the job cheap.

How can you complain about new gear for THF when you don't even know about Skadi? (or the other two sets)..

Because I'm currently taken an extended break from the game for school and athletics because I simply don't have enough time to schedual stuff around ffxi anymore. I haven't really played since most of the ToAU stuff that requires missions came out. Pahluwan is some of the most recent stuff I can remember before starting the break. Out of Skadi and Denali, the only pieces that can begin to compare or go on parallel is Skadi's Cuirie and Skadi's Chausses.

People say 'gogethomamlawlz' when they don't even realise how much time it can take to get four pieces when you have a shell with many people who want it.

The only jobs i've seen compared to thf equallity in the department of gear is pup, blu, drg, and cor. Three of which aren't completed yet; of course they're going to need gear. I'd just like to see at least something that can compare with hecatomb for ws gear, or homam for tp gear. The only things that can be replaced are hecatomb mittens with AF+1 gloves for anything with TA, homam legs with dusk feet, and the homam head. Nothing even comes close to either sets of equipment, and 90% of thfs will never get full hecatomb or 4/5 homam, let alone both. Thf is not alone, but it does need to be addressed imo.

Ah, yes. 'Cause everyone who doesn't have every piece of gear for their job must be lazy.

Where's your relic, while you're at it, you slacker?

For those of us living in reality, however...

I know I've been doing Limbus since it came out, and due to a massive overabundance of lolheads from Omega, I'm still sitting at only a single piece of Homam (albeit first in line for legs, should they ever drop again...)

Depends what you mean by easiest. Most of the other jailers take like 10mins or less to kill. Hope can be tpburned in under 5 easily for instance. JoL is pretty easy, but you do have to have killed all the other jailors to be able to even pop him. To boot he has summons that require an outside ally to kill. So no, I wouldnt put him as the easiest in the least. Takes the most man power to kill, the longest to kill, and the hardest to pop. Even though the fight is pretty straight forward the annoyance trumps all.
