Non-Jeuno Auction Houses are now closed for sellingFollow

Just in case people didn't see this - you can no longer list items on the a/h. This is in preparation for the a/h merger in next week's update. The reason for it being done now is to ensure there are no issues with items still being listed (I guess it makes SE's life easier if the a/h's are blank when they do the merger).

You CAN however still buy items... so get buying before everything runs out!!!

A quick correction to your post unless they are including the jeuno AH but.
"In preparation for the merger, the listing of items in auction houses in the following areas will be restricted between May 6, 2011 1:00 (PDT) and May 10, 2011 (PDT). These restrictions will not affect the bidding process or interfere with the removal of items that have already been listed. The ability to check a listed item's "Sales Status" will also still be possible.

Southern San d’Oria / Port San d’Oria / Bastok Mines /
Bastok Markets / Windurst Walls / Windurst Woods /
Rabao / Kazham / Norg"

So items won't run out in jeuno but the other areas will dry up by Monday lol.

I tried to list some crystals on the Jeuno a/h and it wouldn't let me, so I tried to list them on my mule in Bastok and got the same response.

"You have failed to list this item for auction" (Paraphrasing, I forget exactly what it said)

Maybe a glitch? Or SE just hate me?

EDIT: I'll change the thread title to prevent confusion.

Having nothing listed on it makes everything a whole ton easier for SE, unless things don't work how I think they do at all. If the AH's are blank, they can just delete them entirely from code. And just link the other AH's to Jeuno the same way Taznavia/Whitegate are in the code. So copy/paste one line and things are good to go (it's probably more than one line...but doubt it's a whole lot more). Think it'd take a lot of work to truly merge the AH's.

Edit: I just listed a couple things on the Jeuno AH, so it's still working.

Regarding the merger, yeah that was exactly my thoughts too.

Hopefully it was just a glitch re the Jeuno a/h. I'm about to go into a Besieged so I can't check at the moment, but I'll update this thread once I've been to the a/h afterwards.

Fingers crossed that Asura isn't broken!

Asura isn't broken. Not quite sure what happened before, but I tried again and I can now list items :)

"we need you to shut down the auction houses for the up coming merger"
"OK, done"
<a few minutes later>
"did you also shut down the Jeuno auction house?"
"yea, why?"

And now you know the rest of the story... :P

I've been warning people not to post anything on the AH this weekend since the update was announced just to avoid any problems. SE's track record isn't really known for its smooth transitions.

Glad to see they actually made a preemptive move to more simple on themselves. Although, the AH merger should have been done YEARS ago!

Forgive me if it's been posted, but have they mentioned how high AH tax will be after the merger? I'm assuming they're going to keep the Jeuno AH tax rate, but seeing as I sell stacks of crystals for cheap in Bastok, I hope I'm wrong...

I noticed a couple days ago I was unable to put stuff up on AH. I realized I was in mid trade so I canceled out of AH, canceled trade, tried to sell again and went through fine. So having hit trade to someone or someone hit trade to you and you don't open up trade window and try to sell something on AH, it's just going to give you a can't sell message. That's my best guess. I could test it quick but I'm too tired and I need to get to bed and sleep for a couple hours so I can get up... I'll try it come then.

I'll bet the nation tax perks are out the window with the merger. But hey, they might stay. I know whitegate AH tax always was really crazy in comparison to Jeuno/Al zawhatever it is and those all are the same AH(or I might be confusing Tav with Jeuno here for tax) So it'd be somewhat nice to keep nation taxes if only because of newbie players. I really can't wait to set my HP back in home nation... and no more traveling to Jeuno with crafting mules... come on Monday!
