I wonder what other nice gear they'll add?
I find great that they added GoV. Having you go to places where now a days you'd have no reason to go there. (With exception of some NM,HNMs)

It's not as much as fixing (since it was already stated how to do it) as much as it is needing to be revised a little bit...

I'm happy with the update, though I kind of saw this coming. Wonder how much busier B. Tree and Kuftal will get.

Think the bigger question is what items will they add that people can never get to drop.

This, they keep deciding to place the new higher level mobs in the path of low level quests. Makes it a pain in the *** to redo quests on new characters.

Best-case scenario: smart placement of new mobs & books, without interfering with low to mid-level quests. Mobs limited to rooms/chambers off the beaten path.

Worst-case scenario: wanna open NIN? Better clear the area of these LV98 leeches first!

Yeah, I'm not keen to seeing level 90+ mobs right next to level 5 mobs.

Not to look a gift horse in the mouth, but this is going to make completing certain Magian Trials much more difficult. Sure, one could join a GoV party, but trying to get the killing blow, or worse yet "Pet must get killshot" is going to be a nightmare.

Also, not that it will affect many, but anyone that wants to solo level BST or /BST is nigh well screwed. Granted, that style of play is probably the slowest xp/hr, but some of us find it more fun than slaughtering the same mobs over and over and over and over.

Tl;dr. Old fart ramblin' about stuff no one else cares about.

Im kinda of sick and twisted, but sometimes I miss the shock of running into something and getting eaten. Kinda makes adventure exciting, been running past the same mobs for years now, I hope they just increase the levels in all these zones sucks to low level quests, get a friend we had to the first time.

I just wanted them to change it to the way fields of valor is. Instead of 3 goblins fleshers, can it just be 3 goblins? Or if that's too easy, like 8 goblins? When there's only 3 on the map and you need widescan to even find them, I'd hate to be doing this on any job but BST. Otherwise you gotta wait on those 15 minute repops.

what, no NMs with random attributes to give random mediocre, often negative augments on gear like Fields of Valor?

I hate that I can look at the list of regimes and think, "Well, I have no idea where they moved the chamber beetles to or if it's anywhere near a book, so I guess I'll just skip it or go wander around for an hour looking for them." It doesn't really introduce any new traffic to most of the zones they messed up, but it negates a lot of previous experience and knowledge people had.

Messing up the basement of garlaige is really disappointing to me.

Also, sneak and invisible are obnoxious and I don't want to need them to get through a zone that used to be full of lv30 junk at the highest.

If there are at least easily accessible books for the appropriate regimes, it will be less unwelcome.

Sneak/invis always last 10 mins now so not really "obnoxious" at all.

Having to bring Sneak/Invis for areas where you never thought you'd need them is indeed obnoxious.

Perhaps, but I'll still gladly trade that minor annoyance to have 10x more soloable, high-level exp zones that yield vastly superior amounts of exp than we ever had available in the past.

So long as Abyssea yields significantly more xp/hr than "not abyssea", no one is going to care about non abyssea leveling grounds post 75.

Wait, are you talking about Abyssea or these useless new mobs in the old zones?

Not everybody is able to spend hours to find and participate in an Abyssea alliance, and give 100% attention and dedicaton to it. I feel that GoV is geared toward the casual player who can log in for an hour or two once in a while and plug away at some nice solo exp, even if they have to afk from time to time for family/friends/etc. I know a few people who take advantage of that convenience.

Pounding out over 20k exp/hour with minimal effort, on your own schedule, is useless? O.o

Can do WAY better than 20k/hr in Abyssea, solo, with even less effort thanks to atmas and the game constantly feeding you temps and restores. Not to mention the fact that many jobs that are utterly useless at killing things solo in a timely manner outside Abyssea can be made into powerhouses with the right setup inside it.

But then again, I'm one of those people that doesn't even bother going out to xp if I can't devote at least 8 hours or so to it >_> If you lack that kind of time, or have to AFK a lot, Abyssea route might not look as appealing.

I honestly hope more of these are good for 60-75 cause the oublette can get really crowded at times.

Like you said in your last sentence, if you're on limited time Abyssea isn't an option; solo or with group. While 20k an hour is more than possible to solo in Abyssea, that's only when you're able to spend a good amount of time to build lights and build chain. Thus, the point I've been trying to make about casual players and GoV. If a player was so inclined, they could log into a GoV zone for 20 minutes a day and keep their book chain rolling and never loose their 20-25k+ exp/hour. (And even farm a multi-million gil piece of gear if they wish :P )

Bah! You're supposed to get only 2k/hour and enjoy it! And you're supposed to XP uphills both ways in the snow in Uleguerand.
