Starting today, you can now specify the exact amount of Crysta to add to your account. In addition to the set amounts available up until now, it is also possible to add any value of Crysta between 500 and 10,000 points.

The previously announced Fall 2011 implementation of direct credit card payments is still under development and should be ready soon. We apologize for the wait, but we will make an announcement once an exact implementation date has been decided. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Except if it were baby photos, it would be like looking at before and afters of Michael Jackson. Only instead of turning into a white guy, he changes into a chick!

I dont understand this. If you've never updated your card details or account details, you can still pay directly with a Creditcard just fine. I dont see what's left to implement...

It's something that's been in the game for the last 9 years, easily from the start of the game. What implementation needs to take place when there's existing code readily available and apparently actively working at this very moment...?

What's annoying is that, although you can keep your card payments going - when your card expires - you have to go to the new system now. Hubby got hit with that a few months back and finally had to get crystaed.

The select amount option's up and working though - just topped mine up for the month, final option in the choose amount box is to select the exact amount - only minor issue is I'm on an EU account and it still says "1 crysta = 1 cent" whereas it's actually 1 crysta = 1 UK pence... minor annoyance (insert mutter about this direct £ = $ thing they're pulling here).

I agree with you. KojiroSoma! Just to be safe, how do you change your payment method? Me and Neko have been using Click and Buy for now (As I keep saying, Click and Hope) and I'd like to be sure we know how to do it once the new direct pay with credit card comes online. (He didn't want to have any payment method he wanted to think about; he was really afraid he'd forget to put crysta in the account)

Once you can direct pay with credit card instead of click and buy, Click and Buy gets punted out the window.

I like Crysta and here is why. Since it has been implemented I have not had my service interrupted, I have not been double billed, and I have not had to use my CC once in the last 3 months for anything. Automatic billing through Paypal and I am good to go.

I think the new payment system is the ****.

Yeah I love it. No more asking my gf to use her credit card. I'll be happy when they re-add direct credit card billing though - not for myself, but for those who don't prefer crysta.

Ya direct billing isn't a bad thing. But It is a lot of extra BS for SE to handle, especially with the numerous issues world wide with VBF and MCSC. Its not hard to set up a similar direct payment system.

Paypal Auto-Fund via CC.
Crysta Auto-Fund via Paypal.

(I use my bank to do it however because I don't like using my CC unless its a must, because CC companies are ******* crooks).

It is an extra step, but it seems a lot less of a **** off then Click and Buy, and Paypal is like the new new Visa, Accepted everywhere.

also paypal will cover an overdraft if you happen to not top up in time, I had to adjust my top up because it fell 2 days after my billing cycle. I had a balance of -2.76 but SE still got paid.

<3 the paypal best way to pay for online stuff ever.

I actually enjoy the crysta option.
Since I have my paypal tied to my debit card/bank account (Back when I used to buy/sell stuff on eBay)
Just makes things so much easier.

If I don't have the balance on my paypal it'll just take from my bank account (which is where the money is) and It's instant.... no double charge or anything....if the money not there it'll just prevent you from going further.....simple.

Only thing I disliked a tad was paying crysta in base 5 but not that the amount is changed I'll like it more...

Honestly for me this will be no different then visa direct pay how it was other then that fact that:
I won't get double charged in any form of fashion.
Indirectly not using my debit card number

Which are good things....
