The summoner change is actually pretty nice. Like I might actually use an elemental just during down time just because it wont be sucking my MP dry anymore. Now if they fix the AI a bit we'll be spittin' rainbows!

A way to give someone else Reraise with a spell, but they (presumably) have to die for it...
Seems like such a backasswards way of doing things XD

Either way, hell yeah @ lowered weakness time. Boost-DEX just was not worthy of being WHM's final spell; this comes a lot closer to the right mark.

Also, that better just be a typo and the spell better be called Arise. Araise sounds like a spell you'd use to take someone else's Raise status away.

Yes. Off the top of my head, the 4th and 5th Overwhelm merits were reduced to 2% effectiveness instead of 5%.

I find it silly that SE feels the need to take a "wait and see" approach with Faithful Falcorr's 2nd adjustment.

Also, what is up with the re-prioritization of Remove Breath? I can understand Paralysis being moved up. But now Doom went from priority #2 to #3!? It should be #2 (arguably even #1 before Paralysis).

No, it has been useless, but never nerfed. At least not in a nerf that didn't affect every other 2 hand DD job.

Wasn't there a rdm in this game ? Someone should mention that to them.

Yes, what you've heard is true. FFXI's endgame is just a giant E-peen swinging contest, with the majority of time spent standing around, and watching Moon-faced nerds "compare" video game "accomplishments" with each other via flame-wars on forums/in-game.
^^^^^^^^^^^^ So True.

Why? only thing RDM needs is for game mechanics to actually function to the point where they are:

1. Able to use their spells
2. Able to cast spells better than jobs subbing RDM or WHM and:
3. Have their merit spells actually be clearly better than the non merit versions (and not at 5/5)

RDM is pretty much fine, outside of game mechanic issues (of which 2 are being addressed currently).

RDM is fine, people turned it into a haste/cure bot but it doesn't really need anything >.>

But if you remember what RDM's strengths were at 75 in party situations, it was its sustainability and utility refreshing/hasting and curing.

Its enfeebles used to be mostly somewhat useful, now they're mostly pointless are resisted outright.

You'll probably ignore all of this and claim you're right and I'm an idiot, that's fine by me :P

Why would I claim you are an idiot. The only thing wrong with RDM is the mechanics pertaining to enhancing enfeebling and healing. 2 of which are being addressed and until testing is done can be considered still broken.

That is it. There is your problem with RDM. It has nothing to do with anything you wrote in your first post.

Would you have preferred retarded? Oh wait then I'm a bigot too because there's people who are mentally retarded!

Technically, one can argue that using "retarded" is not intentionally bigoted, if only due to its pervasive nature in the english speaking culture. It doesn't make it right, but it's rarely ever used in a way that intentionally insults the mentally handicapped. That said, singling out a group of people with a mental birth defect, as you did, and intentionally using their birth defect as a blatant insult to imply inferiority makes you a bigot. The fact that you are a bigot, of course, does not in anyway influence the actual strength of your arguements. However, the fact that you felt the need to reference something in such an offensive manner, as if that insult suddenly strengthened your argument, proves that you are, in fact, a terrible debater.

I don't think either of you are capable of deciphering that there's many ways to say the same thing. Clearly he does display signs of cognitive problems though, like not being able to relate to others, lack of empathy, seing everything extremely literally, black and white and with poor judgment as to understanding the context of what is written.

I don't think you're quite as intelligent as you think you are. He does not clearly display signs of any mental defect, at all. He simply can't see what isn't there. Further, his lack of empathy is explained by you coming off as either ignorant, unintelligent, or a complete douche in the majority of your posts; something only the kindest of souls could feel true empathy for. There is no subtle context you're implying with your way of speaking, everything you want to say is right there and incredibly obvious. However, you are apparently seeing things that aren't there, so perhaps you have something you feel the need to compensate for?

Zelduh wrote:
Arguing the semantics of words in every single post I make is annoying and he's clearly blind at being able to tell the difference/similarities between anything unless it uses HIS *exact* wording. If he called me an idiot, (scroll up, look at his cute little italicized wording) then I'm perfectly validated in retaliating with saying he has aspergers, which is akin to calling someone an idiot, or retarded. Can you not see this, or do you have aspergers too?

This isn't a matter of semantics at all, though, and honestly it rarely is between you two. Furthermore, calling someone an idiot, and using a highly offensive bigoted insult, are two very different things, and in absolutely no way is your statement validated or justified. That's like saying that shooting someone in the face is a justifiable reaction to them slapping you for being an ***. Trading insults is fine and dandy, I'm prone to it myself, but the fact that you are completely incapable of judging the severity of the insults you use doesn't say anything good about you, or your intelligence. All it says is that you can't take a ******* insult.

You are not some clever, witty linguist who is capable of dancing with the english language and conveying a thousand different things with a simple statement. You're more like a gigantic buffoon stomping around with a big grin on your face claiming to be dancing like a ballerina. Learn to swim before you mess with a shark, kid.

It's 2012. Aspergers is the new "retarded" "blind" "idiot" "moron" "crazy" etc. etc. etc. Get with the times. Nothing is meant by it, and no one cares. Learn2history and keep up to date.
Your entire point is invalid. You seriously have issues for caring that much about something so meaningless. You're delusional (oh look another disorder! see the trend?) if you think anything you said is true.

Edited, Feb 16th 2012 3:40pm by Zelduh

There's nothing wrong with disagreeing with someone else's opinion but the way you are throwing out personal attacks at those who disagree with you does nothing to further your argument and only makes you look like dbag.

And "Aspergers" is not the new word or substitute for "retarded" or anything else you listed and is an inappropriate term to throw at anyone. Even if they had the disorder it would still be wrong to throw it in their face like that. Come on man have a little decency. If you don't believe me ask your parents or any other adult that you respect if it's okay to use that term towards others. Hopefully someone close to you can educate you on how to behave lol
