I'm coming into some time off of work for recovery and I figure what better way to spend it then playing in bed playing FFXI. While I plan on farming and fishing, I would like to extend to anyone who needs help with things that a 51 or 52 summoner can help with, please send Tif a tell starting a week from Wednesday if you see me on. Be patient with me as I won't know if I can do real extended periods of play, but if you need keys, mission fights, af1 fights, ruby farming or escort to the glacier for the blizzard light, even an extra person to help with g1, just let me know. All help is free, all I ask for in return is your patience and understanding if I can't do an extended period of play.

Seriously though, it's nothing. Everyone I play with is on in the evenings. I have surgery next week and will be off of work for a week or two. During the day, I'm going to be bored silly. This is a great way to pass the time and get to meet even more people on the server. And if you are just bored and don't need help, come along on one of my farming runs. I'd rather split the profits and get some company then keep all of the gil to myself.

Tif,

Sorry to hear you have to under the knife. Hope it's nothing too serious.

If I see you on, or you see me, send me a tell. I'll come keep ya company on a farming run or two.

Nothing too serious. But thanks for the offer and I'll definately keep an eye out for you.

I should mention for my original offer, that since I'll most likely be playing on my ps2 if I'm still stuck in bed, I won't be able to hit the new areas. CoP is only installed on my pc.

aww tif it sucks to here that your going over the knife. i went in for surgurey 2 months ago because i broke my knee cap at football practice >.< but i got to sit home and play FFX1 for 3 weeks straight. i wish you luck and rate up for your generousity. might i suggest that if you cant find anything to do then you could maybe powerlevel a newbie?

I don't power level new players for the simple fact I believe the early levels is where you really learn about your job and the game. Most of the people who I've partied with and who did not understand how to play their job were powerlevelled in the early levels. If it's their second job, I'm fine with it. However, I will sit by them with the occassional heal and keep protect on them and be there if they call for help. But I find hanging out in areas like the dunes, qufim or even jungle and getting the meanies off of parties is pretty rewarding as well.

But yeah, so far I've been recruited to fish some carp for someone's rod. That should be fun. The person did so much for me that I love being able to finally pay them back.

Wow. I dont know you but your thread is really nice. Most people on this server are way to busy to help out. That is incredibly nice of you. Hopefully all goes well with your surgery and you have a speedy recovery ^_^b

I actually find helping people to be a lot of fun in the game. But I haven't really had the time to do it as much as I would like. I figured this would be a good way to get back into the pattern while providing me with some much needed company. Most of my ls works and isn't on during the day. :D

Don't start that til like Monday. I'm basically getting all of the leveling and other time intense stuff out of my system before tomorrow. Surgery is Friday morning, assuming I'll be back up and moving by Monday.

heh yeah, I handed out a ton of my partying food that day trying to get people started. I couldn't find you when I found the cheap way to go about it, but I figure from your post you figured it out. :) Farming sounds fun, definately hit me up. I hope to be on around Monday or Tuesday for short periods of time.

Oh that was a fun one. :) And that's cool cause I can swing by a different location afterwards and see about help for a fight for the Blue Ribbon Blues quest. What day are you guys planning on doing this? If there isn't enough of us to fill the party, I'll try to bring a few of my friends along.

I was hoping it would be today sometime, but our monk of the hour hasn't logged in yet. >_<
I was hoping I would maybe have someone to call on once we get it going. Sorry it could just happen at any time .

Unfortunately, I don't think I'll be on today. Got a lot to take care of before surgery tomorrow, so even if I do manage to sneak on, it will only be for about an hour or so (long enough to take care of auctions, do a little crafting and leave). I hope to be in some sort of condition for limited play time on Monday at least on the ps2. Hubby is moving the ps2 with the hdd in it and a wireless bridge to the room so I can goof off while recovering. I can help with any none CoP stuff starting when I get back on. I won't be able to do CoP stuff til I can get my butt back to the pc.

I returned to work today. Sorry wasn't really checking forums from home.

Everything went well and I got to meet some awesome people over the past week with trying to get some stuff for them. Should be getting back to the level grind this week, but if anyone still needs anything, just send a tell. If I'm not with my set, I can probably help.

Oh and as for farming, me and a friend had an amazing farming run in the sanctuary. 9 tree cuttings. :D I can't wait to plant these suckers. He was after moss, I was after trees. I think he ended up with 2 stacks of moss.
