|  Uses the 2 hour Manafont. Profblix is a Goblin goldsmith who specializes in making mystical accessories with great magical power. He travels to the Labyrinth of Onzozo, seeking out prime materials for his work. One of his creations is the Moldavite Earring. Soloed him as 62RDM/NIN 1/5 Camped 2 nights in a row for about 6 hours each night
Got two gobbie linked, killed them all with my 67RDM/THF,dropped the earring, thunderIII,gob armor and gob mask. It was not tough at all

Just wanted to post up my results with this guy. I helped a friend kill him when he killed the bird for my SAM AF. When he popped, he seemed tough to me at the time, as I was but a 55SAM/THF.
Was back in LoO to level up NPC and farm. He was chilling and no one camping. LS didn't need so I decided to try. I was 67SAM/THF so I pulled to not link, but he decided to Tornado me, wich did well over 1100 dmg. Followed by Flood, wich killed me. I should have attacked again to inerrupt Tornado, key mistake.
HP'd, came back and was stupid easy this time. I 2-HR'd to reset timer and SC's took him to ~10% when he decided to MF. Few hits later and he was dead. Moldy earing 2/2.
Kept farming, just before he was due to pop again someone came in to camp so i helped him as I had earing and ThunderIV already, popped, killed, earing. 3/3.
Killed once more the following day and didn't get earing but did get a very large gil drop (9K+ IIRC).
Total? 3/4 on earing alone. Great to camp, and I've found him up more often than not farming down there.
I'd reccomend camping with THF and ~100% full moon.
It's too bad I don't have a use for this! But will save it for "just in case".

I asked if he was just after the spells (since he had the earring on) but it turned out he was getting it for a friend who ran in a few seconds later. Fine, i cheered him on and killed one of the adds. I missed the claim fair and square, no point in whining. His friend got it so congrats!
Still, i now knew ToD so i asked my Kin the respawn on him, and found out its 2 hours and a half. Checked the time, logged back in two hours later.
Pottered around half and hour and Pop! Saw him casting Blaze Spikes in my log; so i went and smacked him. No other claimers around. No adds linked and i dragged him to the wall. I whacked him around 5 times, and used Penta-Thrust, and he was more or less dead. He had done a grand-total of 400 or so damage to my 1200hp pool. Unfortunatly, Thundaga III but no earring.
At this point two DRG/THF farming Cocatraces came running by and we talked a bit. I logged in nd out for the next two hours and a half, and finally started keeping a proper eye out in the last 15 minutes.
The two DRG/THFs asked to join me, so they could Mug him. I felt a tad worried, i mean sure TH2 increaed my chances, but if they both Lotted on the earring then i had a good chance of not getting it even if it dropped.
Still, love your brother as you love yourself.
They invited me, he popped, they mugged him and WHAM! I got my Earring, and they also let me have the Scroll of Thunder III too.
So, today i came away with Thunder III, Thundaga III, a Moldavite Earring and around 8000gil.

Still, to all other DRGs. Go /THF to fight him, honestly, he is so easy for a strong Melee it's silly. My gear isnt even that good, its budget gear.

I am 1/4. today camped with 70PLD/15THF and 75RDM/NIN. lost the first claim but got it the second time. There were 2 sometimes 3 other campers. Later that night the 70PLD was just farming meat there and saw Mysticmaker popped again but no one claimed it until 30 mins later. So it's not very hard to get the claim. and i really dont think moon phase affects the drop rate. it was new moon 10% when i got the drop. good luck all.

I was alone in onzozo killing cockatrices and he popped. Didn't even know he was up until he started casting buffs and it showed up in my log. So i killed him. Got the drop.
Maybe now i'll have to lvl blm or something. :/

i'm personaly 0/4on this Nm the problem is that this drop rate is close to 25% or a bit higher so if you camp it 4 times consecitivly there is NO was you cant get drop unless somethings wrong with you O.o
So I log into FFXI and see a message Mysticmaker ToD, I teleport over to Mea and enter Labyrinth of Onzozo as 75 BST. Competition, everyone took a spot, I was spinning around targeting because he was sure to pop in a few minutes and my luck he does right in front of me, I hit the wrong key and entered first-person mode and I couldnt spin fast enough un-first-person to claim (about 20 seconds have passed too). Lost claim and he drops the earring. So mark ToD level up my NIN a bit, eat dinner come back 4+ hours later, as I enter he is killed. I join an old friend we begin to kill toramas, Ose is on the most-wanted list today. We kill hundreds of torama (I think PETA is after us now) trying to pop Ose, Helion was up killed and Tarutaru got Scythe. LoO PH was killed constantly nothting. Good-ole Skullnix pops stingy Goblin too, he drops the Kard - I make room in inventory as I do, Kard drops right on in perfecting, WOOT! Got me a Kard (bastards SE for not allowing BST to use). Back to Toramas, I use one as pet claim Mysticmaker, Mysticmaker vs Torama - oh man what a joke, Torama got link and still killed Mysticmaker however being a BST people like to steal NMs and there was one person watching because Mysticmaker turned yellow 2 times before I engaged then he turned yellow 2 times and I had him auto-targeted very weird. A player drew weapons out to steal the NM from me but I quickly casted Dia and he stayed Red for the last 5% of life in him, no drop 0/1. So back to toramas, Ose did not want to pop we killed them all several times. 2AM came I run to Mysticmaker, Torama pet uncharms paralyze from hell I die as I remove it :( but SMN friend gets there raises me and soon as I cure myself to full health guess who pops. We claim, kill, and drop :) 1/2 on Mysticmaker, But no LoO or Ose but a good night for me I got the earring I really need.
I was in Onzozo last night just looking for the map, and this guy popped right in front of me. Engaged and killed, and got the drop, 1/1.
There were no other campers - if there had been a BLM there I'd have let them have it. Since I now have this item and 4/5 Goliard from Nyzul Isle, I guess I'd better level BLM or SCH. :)

Finally got the earring to drop today, after two missed claims and three claims without drop. Unfortunately, I don't have a job high enough to solo this fellow (57 BLM being my highest job), so I had to rely on the others in my LS to help me out. It got to the point where I was asking other campers if I could have the earring (thinking perhaps they were only after scrolls!)
All in all, I suppose a 1 out of 4 drop rate isn't horrible, though the waiting period between spawns can be pretty bad. It took my LS and I all day today to finally get him to drop the earring.

Seriously, I've been camping this NM for a whole 3 days now, I'm 13/16 on claim as RDM75/DRK37, and 0/13 on drop. It's getting a bit ridiculous. Thankfully I still haven't died against him, but I have watched several others die, and immediately stolen claim...as horrible as a person that may make me :).
Claimed this thing bout 10 times already and barely got 1 earring and nothing else valuable! Drop rate sux on Garuda. Camped it nearly 18 hrs and that is what I get. Not far FFXI!
75drk/sam 1/1 on earring. There was a 60+ rdm/thf there that was farming and offered his TH for the drop. Thunder III dropped too. Went to class and came back 4hrs later. He poped infront of a thf and whm camping him. My stun failed, due to him moving out of range and the thf wasnt even engaging him. Just kinda running by him and acting stupid. Got claim and Thundaga III dropped. Sells more at NPC than AH. 8k at NPC. Wanted this earring for my Cor's Quick Draw setup. But my drk now has +15 magic atk bonus.
Overall, he is too weak. Hit him with 1 guilitione (sp) and he used manafront.

I had claimed the previous pop at 100% Full Moon, and got nothing. I was starting to think this thing was going to jerk me around, since I'm the only person I know that had gone for more than 6 with no drop.

The very existence of flamethrowers proves that sometime, somewhere, someone said to themselves, "You know, I want to set those people over there on fire, but I'm just not close enough to get the job done."
Seems to be moderately camped on weeknights/weekends, but during the weekdays I only had competition once or twice. 1/5, he wasn't too much of a Bastardblix really. Somewhat annoying to camp as a 65 RDM since the gobs that spawn near him can spawn in aggro range or just below it, but either way they can still link when you claim him. You can try and clear them out, but a) you'd have to do this regularly as people will figure it out if you only do it when he's about to spawn, and b) he has a half-hour window while they are a 15-minute respawn, and fighting them while he could be spawning is a nice way to give your competition the claim.
A friend of mine and myself went to camp this on a weekday for my black mage. There was no competition, and once it popped and we killed it (no links ftw) we got the drop =) 1/1

1st drop was sheer luck a few months ago. Me (RDM) 70 something Coralee, my GF, (PLD) 50 something and Ryoohk (BLM) 75. We had an afternoon of time to kill so we headed down to LoO and figured we'd camp ze ol' gobbbie. Low and behold ran into the room where it spawns and Mysticmaker is just standing there picking its nose. PLD 'voked, BLM -ga 3'd it do death, I think I cured the PLD maybe once or twice due to Manafont + Burst. Dropped Earring some gil and assorted Thunder spells. Score me a Moldy earring!
2nd drop was this past Sunday. Headed down to LoO out of sheer boredom to kill Chest key mobs to pop a chest for map. Just two folks running laps farming cockatrices, no one camping Gobbie. Coralee (PLD now 75) and Me (RDM 75) camped it for maybe 1.5-2.25 hours until Mystic popped. Coralee 300% Spirits Within'd the NM and was massively resisted, she pretty much just meleed it down to 30-40% left at which point I Chainspelled Bliz. 3'd it down for fun. :P It didn't 2 hour this time. NM dropped Moldy earring for Cora's now 22 BLM, Thundaga 3, Gobbie mask, armor and 3000g!
Good luck to all those camping the NM! The NM does not have a place holder, it spawns independently of the 3 other Gobbies in the room, so you can actually just stand there and not kill a thing and it will pop between 1.5-2.5hrs after its last ToD.

Camped this thing nearly all day, yesterday. Claimed 5 times, and not once did I get the drop. Only twice did we lose the claim to someone else.
One of those two times, it spawned right in front of me (practically on top of me)... "mysteriously" purple. The thing hadn't even been up long enough for a Dia or any other form of claim to be placed upon it. I targeted it as soon as it spawned and hit "Dia", and got all excited until I realized "Hey...!! PURPLE, WTF!?!?" And I wasn't the only one that saw it pre-claimed. Adding a lovely touch, the taru ****** that claimed it was cheering because he got the drop.
So, I currently stand at 0/6 on that.
I can understand SE not making things 100%, but if it's r/e... com'on! It's not like GS and gil mongers are going to camp it around the clock... they can't sell it!
An LS mate is still 0/30+ on O-Kote.... This is just cruel.

Claimed him last night as 65Drk/29whm thinking the magic defense bonus and shell would help. got him down to 27% roughly 1134hp left (Assuming wiki is correct that he has 4200hp total) my Guillotine with LR did 1252 and I was at 97%tp ;.; he one shoted me with Freeze for 914 anyways that was my experence going to try and get some more MDB gear and try again tonight. i am still feeling stupid for not putting up Barblizzara when it started casting freeze >.<;
Edit: Tryed again tonight and soloed him at 65drk/30sam and got the Drop!

i was 4/4 onclaim for this guy, but i cud never kill it... 63 rdm, so i decide to team up with a whm snce she knows im so good at gettin claim... then, right when it pops a 60 war provokes it... he dies after like a minute... profblix gets claimed by a 62 blm next.. she dies (haha) theeen he gets claimed by a BLU lvl 64 who dies when profblix was at like 5% lol so i cast thunder 2 since eery1 else in room is dead lol and i killed em. I got drop too... it was hella funny cuz the blu was pissed at me for like an hour he ranted at me cuz i took his claim instead of raising him like wtf

Nin69/Thf27, sitting there, calculating the time via killing the other goblins in the room. A whm has been chillin' there for the whole day, doing nothing. 20 minutes before the 2hr mark, this pld and thf come and join in and then I see the whm move. I'm pretty certain he's gonna pop. I'm on a computer which makes this soooo much easier. I pretype /ma "Kurayami: Ni" <t> so I can target, space, and enter.
I get so lucky 'cause the son of a ***** pops RIGHT in front of me.
